load temp 84-89.

is this normal? cooling under hyper 212+

should i resit or anything? my room temp is kinda high though. (malaysia ._.) no aircond

is that on 100% processor load? and did u overclock the processor?

else maybe its time u check the heatsink for cleanliness and reapply the thermal paste on the processor.

im not sure what is good thermal paste right now. but maybe google would help lol

Guys, i have an Intel P4 LGA775 socket. Using Stock cpu cooler that sound like a super sonic jet flying in my house. Mind to recommend me a cooler that good for this machine for RM100-RM150?

Definitely high for stock speed. Please replace thermal compound and resit it.

Cooler Master TX3 should be enough like my E7500. Its 90mm fan not too loud compare stock fan while full speed.

Wondering....is it Asus Silent Knight II overkill for this machine? There are also ppl selling for this....Deepcool Ice Edge Mini FS at RM60... dont know which one i should go....

Asus Silent Knight II - not good buy as can't support next gen socket if you intend to upgrade.
Deepcool Ice Edge Mini FS - it use non-PWM fan so it'll run 100% speed all the time. And it's hard to find aftermarket PWM 80mm fan...

IMHO...

Asus Silent Knight II is ok one also...but the price mcm not justify....this machine is serving as torrent machine...is my scarp pc...so not going to upgrade anyway...

Hi all, may need expert opinion here.

I am currently running intel stock cooler with 3 fans (2 front and 1 rear) on my i5 3470 and no over clock. I notice the idle temperature is about 45+ and when running CPU intensive games such as GTA V, the temperature reached 91+, while the GTX 670 stay at 85++, which make me worry if this may shorten the lifespan of my rig. I have tried to clean up the dust and reapply the thermal paste but it didn't help much as only few celcius was dropped after I perform the cleaning process.

Therefore I am wondering do I need to get a aftermarket CPU together with some extra fans or a few fans will good enough to reduce the temperature of the CPU and GPU?

Any recommendation for system fans and aftermarket cooler? No overclock will be performed.

Casing airflow is main factor. What casing you used?

What I dislike bout 300R is front fan located in-front of the casing panel (not behind it), so the airflow kind of restricted.



Open your side panel & try feel the airflow behind that fan....is it strong? If not you have to find stronger static pressure than your existing fan...or mod the panel so no restriction at all to the fan's airflow.
Advisable to use after-market cooler after improvement of your casing airflow is not working to CPU & GPU temperature. For your CPU, CM TX3 or Hyper 212 Evo is enough from my opinion.

Hi thans for the advice. Have no idea how to mod. Perhaps I will grab more casing fans to improve the air flow. The cooler master silent fan 4 in 1 sounds a good deal? Is that much different between Tx3 and T4?

Hi guys, thinking of upgrading from stock cooler to a air cooler. Planning to do some mild overclocking. Preferably the cheapest option. Currently looking at hyper 212x (since evo cannot be found anymore) and cooler master tx3. Any advice?

212x is dated but still good for the price, but if u want do higher OC prob need get a better cooler. Tx3 is only slightly better than stock cooler.

hi guys,

my Cool Master heatsink cooler, after switch on for 2 hours, there's a sound.... the sound initially not so noticeable, but now its become loud n annoying...

may i know why there's sound? how i can fix it? or need to replace it?

btw, i think my PC is about 2 years already...

Heatsink clogged with dust? Clean it...
Maybe the fan bearing or lubricant is out....change it to new one...

i'm noob in PC. any PC shop that able to help settle on the spot???

Location? Try PM Idealtech at Pandah Indah if they have PC cleaning & fan changing service....
