In my humble opinion, Kaspersky Antivirus Pro is the best AV in killing and protecting but it uses lots of resources sweat.gif By the way, NOD32 do a very good job in protecting and killing but it is unable as powerful as KAV Pro smile.gif

i agree with you totally on yhis. recently i install KAV personal pro 5. it is an excellent AV. i must say it's the best i've use in term of protection. but after awhile my kavsvc.exe keep on running at 100& cpu cycle. i dunno wat is happneing it sloooooows down my computer alot and i decided to uninstall it and use back my nod32.

but in term of protection kaspersky beats nod32 hands down IMO. but nod32 has a better protection/resources ratio. can't stand my pc so slow like kena some spyware when in fact it's my AV causing it smile.gif)

i am very happy with avast! for these reasons:

its free (registration required)
installer is small: +/- 8MB
update virus defination is just a blink of an eye
user friendly, easy to set up
very effective in picking up virus
very effective in curing as well
doesnt hog up much resources
built it P2P shield, web shield, IM shield, network shield etc

had very bad experience with AVG. doesnt protect me from anything, and wont be able to clear anything as well when i got infected. avoid at all cost.

Pretty agree that AVG is not as effecient as it supposed to be
But I don't really like Avast coz sometimes it affects my P2P activities

Will stick with antivir for time being

I'm not sure how many of you here are using the Kaspersky AntiVirus software.
I found out lately that this software actually bugged my connection.

It slows down my connection to <10kb. The worst it ever did to my connection was completed DC'd it. I had to uninstalled it, well, only for that prticular time.

Other than that, it slows down my con.
After closing it each time my line is slowed not due to TMNET's fault, it runs back fine.

I noticed my MSN MSGer also can't send crap to others, but I can receive.

Can advice? sweat.gif

I have no problems with my Kaspersky

There was long ago I suspected my pc is infected virus... and my AVG Free Edition 7.0 Just couldn't scan them out and destroy them.... I was sick of it so I installed KAV... and it caught 13 viruses...

So far I have encountered no problem with my connections.... So at the moment, credits to KAV.

I still heard about alot of people giving good comments about BitDefender. For those who use it.. I might thinking of give it a try soon.
