i agree with you totally on yhis. recently i install KAV personal pro 5. it is an excellent AV. i must say it's the best i've use in term of protection. but after awhile my kavsvc.exe keep on running at 100& cpu cycle. i dunno wat is happneing it sloooooows down my computer alot and i decided to uninstall it and use back my nod32.

but in term of protection kaspersky beats nod32 hands down IMO. but nod32 has a better protection/resources ratio. can't stand my pc so slow like kena some spyware when in fact it's my AV causing it )

jz change from nod32 back to kaspersky. and guess what i've got 4 virus that my nod32 fail to check which my kaspersky did and i've alwiz make sure my nod32 is up to date.

nod32 is less resouce hogging then kaspersky but i think i'm gonna stick with kaspersky for the time being. i feel safer

and jz to share with you guys i install the trial version fo kaspersky in my office and it mannage to weed out 7 virus that the avg fail to detect before this. so i'm pretty much convince that kaspersky has the best detection rate among all AV.

it's suppose to see wheter your AV is effective or not. my kaspersky 5 manage to detect it within 5 second after i save it and deleted it.

I'm using ZoneAlarm Antivirus.
Has anyone tested it?

Hello guys, just some update my earlier post about the BitDefender Pro installed .. I had uninstall the BitDefender and switch back to Norton SystemWorks 2005. it works perfectly with BitComet and the IE explorer will never get freeze too, so i think the best is still Norton, just my 2 cents

I just finish scanning my hdd for virus and the software that  I tried (Fix-It 6 AV) found one virus but didnt manage to get rid of it. But instead the infected filed has been quarantined.

What should I do with the file? (it's a msdirectx.sys file)
should I just let the file like that or completely replace it?

Is it advisable to install 2 antivirus into my system? Norton and Kasperky. Any  comment b4 I do so? Will it be any system conflict or antivirus conflict?

I think ad-aware should be more effective in scanning spyware than NOD32 does...

Unless you're using Ad-aware PRO that has ad-watch, otherwise it doesn't consume any memory if you're not scanning the spyware.
