Eh! Whoever recommended Echo of Dalriada, thanks! Giving them a listen on YouTube... the music is pretty good. I don't like the vocals though :\

have you guys listened to any of Jeph Jacques work under the fake band name Deathmole?
it's quite good instrumental stuff albeit a bit lacking in the drum department you can find some of his stuff at http://questionablecontent.com/deathmole/ (unicorns will kill your children recommended) or you can look for his stuff in his blog at http://qcjeph.livejournal.com his titles are silly but it's all good metal if you ask me o yea btw heads up, lacuna coil's new album coming out in april i think, any stores in malaysia going to carry it? |

oh and early theatre of tragedy stuff is quite good too if you want a contrast or harmonious female vocals with heavy male vocals and heavy music

QUOTE(silbii @ Jan 5 2009, 02:22 AM) just skip all these and jump stright to Arch Enemy my friend...who needs a lead girl singing when they can growl much better...hehe Haha. Some people might not like female growling. Personally, I'd say leave them to the guys.QUOTE(Coraline @ Jan 5 2009, 02:51 AM) Truly. |

QUOTE(silbii @ Dec 31 2008, 03:13 PM) M'sian gigs often take long hours and can get quite tiring if you're not really into the music...esp. if the bands sound the same...but yeah, u have to at least try to attend one. I used to stay 4, 5 hours for a gig...now i can't barely stand 2 hours...maybe it's the age factor...haha...And I'm also wondering where MCAPA is...I'm old skool...only knew Piccadilly or Pyramid for gigs those days As for local metal - the only metal local band that i'd like to see is Metalasia - but too bad they're kinda 'inactive' now...and Silkhannas is very good live too...u shud check 'em out if you have the chance. anyways..welcome back to Msia..don't think that you are a bro, or are you? The crowds in UK were quite friendly. They used to give ways to me so I could stand in front Metalasia is in my library too. And I started with Cromok -> Sil Khannaz / As-Sahar when I was in secondary school Nowadays I only listen to them (for local bands), others are from abroad. Thanks for your replies. |

QUOTE(vorchiel @ Jan 5 2009, 12:24 PM) Normally I just buy seated ticket (stadium seating) if available, if not I'll just buy standing ticket. QUOTE(silbii @ Dec 31 2008, 03:13 PM) trivia: Mike Amott only recorded 2 albums with Carcassi just read somewhere that the awesome guitar solo of Kreator's Murder Fantasy was done by Michael Amott of Arch Enemy / Carcass...no wonder the guitar solo is so damn fine...the guitar solo in that Kreator album was really one of the high points of the album to me. I've actually been hooked to Arch Enemy ever since i saw their live dvd and heard a couple of songs which have some really awesome guitar solos..now since i'm a fan of M. Amott - really have to find more of his earlier suff from Carcass...this due really has good melodies btw - u guys have to watch the dvd concerts of Arch Enemy, esp the recent one live in Japan...the whole team with Angela fronting - they're just mind blowing! Was never a big fan of death metal (was sticking to thrash only since the early days) - but Arch Enemy really has brought me into another exciting realm of metal-ness...hehe - necroticism descanting the insalubrious - heartwork he had more melodic stuff in heartwork |

QUOTE(AKITO @ Jan 10 2009, 09:34 PM) Oh yeah, if u r really into composing music and already in proffesional one u should try it. Really complex stuff, thats what we call proggressive rock/ metal. Easy to say, there is no accurate term to define their verse, chorus etc. Starting to listen songs called Ytse Jam, instrumental one. Personally, their songs is something like Rush, King Krimson... might take as long as 15++ minutes per song |
