Thanks for the info about the SSD, I was planning to give my current XPS 16 to my brother and get a new one once the HD 4670 became available, and was wondering whether the SSD was worth the extra RM 1800+ and half capacity of 500GB 7200 RPM HDD. Is the 500GB HDD also from Samsung?

i think you can use only 1 instant cash redemption. not really sure though, maybe you try to put in the coupon and test? i think it's worth it if you're after 13" laptop, that's around the lowest price i have seen. not really sure about microsoft office, maybe someone else has an answer?

it's ok.. it's worth it if you want faster and cooler hdd but it's a no imo.

I bought it for about RM249 , but that was about 5 months ago. IMO, it is worth. It is cheap considering it is Microsoft product.

but i realised that my laptop get extremely hot especially the bottom of the touchpad....
do i need to return it to dell for refund?
n get another model not xps studio?
or the heat is normal?

Hmm. From my experience, SXPS 1640 do produced quite high heat. Cooler pad is a must for this laptop during high performance times, e.g. gaming. I usually use it in air-conditioned room. It's okay for me.

im have sxps 1640 2.4ghz 4g ram.
im using vista.. i having alot of trouble and error..
can i install window xp in it? does my driver and all the component support xp?

when i start up.. many errors come out.. bluetooth,grove. when i try to install antivirus.. always fail.. dont know why.. that lappy just come on monday. im a newbie.. so i dont know well about all those errors.. so im thinking to switch to xp which i am more good at it then vista

Err... it's OEM, i dun think it come wit licenses to install up to 3 pc, probably only 1 which follow the "PC" , not the "person"... correct me if im wrong.

It's from dell's website. i know last time they got promotion and the price is Rm199, which is so much expensive than market price....

i think u should have call Dell regarding ur lappie error. it might be a faulty unit.

Has anyone here who purchased their lappie after 26 June 09 tried the windows 7 update program yet?? Funny cause i can't seem to register in their websites. I think my XPS is eligible according to their criteria.

does anyone have the webcam/facial recognition software. i format my computer and suddendly lost those software. already google it for many time and still didnt find it.. anyone know where should i get those software back? already check my reinstall cds but still dont have it.

does the studio xps 16 have anything at the down right side? or it's just a plastic? my sister's dell which is other model has a remote control, does studio xps 16 have it?
