QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 6 2008, 11:58 PM) But I recalled some statement from TR saying they did that to take into account of the curve from the processor's heatspread or something lols. But then again, shouldn't all of the base should be as flat as possible? Lucky thing CCF's base is quite flat . Might try to lap it when I've ample of time to kill in future when cleaning my PC imho i think u will get nicer surface finish unlapped rather than lapped.... the surface finish of ccf looks so nice already.... lapping might make it become kasar lulz......

QUOTE(5w33 @ Nov 8 2008, 01:38 AM) Lap it till mirror finish. The CCF surface not yet reach the mirror effect yet. imo, what is important is the flatness of the base. mirror finish is for self satisfaction. CCF to me, consider very flat for a HDT cooler edi bro This post has been edited by ham_revilo: Nov 8 2008, 01:47 AM

Well, true also. I compared with friend's Xigmatek the 3 pipe non RS, CCF's base is better . The gap between pipes also closer.

Kinda interested to find out the temp difference.

Getting Started

If using OEM unit of proc then I wouldnt mind to lap. But currently paying for retail version one, once lapped = lost warranty...

Nice temps! I've been wondering how you all manage to get such low idling =/
My system seems to be getting the worse results among the CCF users here.
