imho i think u will get nicer surface finish unlapped rather than lapped.... tongue.gif

the surface finish of ccf looks so nice already.... lapping might make it become kasar lulz......

imo, what is important is the flatness of the base. mirror finish is for self satisfaction. CCF to me, consider very flat for a HDT cooler edi bro tongue.gif laugh.gif

Well, true also. I compared with friend's Xigmatek the 3 pipe non RS, CCF's base is better smile.gif. The gap between pipes also closer.

Lapped both their procs and CCF to mirror finish, should improve the performance a bit. laugh.gif

If using OEM unit of proc then I wouldnt mind to lap. But currently paying for retail version one, once lapped = lost warranty...

hmm... i tried asking zer0hour and he said his old tpower can fit ccf even with the mosfet cooler fan is attach. biggrin.gif

I juz finish buliding up my rig..my setup is as in my sig..Q9550 oc'ed to 3.6 (425x8.5) at 1.25vcore (stock vcore)..I'm saying that i was impressed by the results..running at 24C (no air-con) ambient:

Idle:
Core 0: 34C
Core 1: 34C
Core 2: 33C
Core 3: 33C

Prime Load:
Core 0: 54C
Core 1: 50C
Core 2: 50C
Core 3: 50C

Nice temps! I've been wondering how you all manage to get such low idling =/

My system seems to be getting the worse results among the CCF users here.
