I have to admit it, right from 2.0 it's been a disaster to use the keyboard. Apps occasionally crash and lag.

I'm on 2.0.1 right now with custom firmware built by WinPwn, can I just hit the Update button on iTunes and update my iPhone to 2.0.2? I'm aware that I'll loose my apps.

john, if rebooting doesnt help, you could only look at restoring it again...

today play around with iPhone 3G where check on its version is 2.02 where i wonder is it stable for 1st Gen iPhone to upgrade? based on the first page is still not applicable for upgrading but any updates on the version?

opening sms seems slower/ contacts also the same..n now my wifi cant detect anything ~ hmm...strange..

Seaedge,after i restore it back and follow the step with Pwnage tool like i was doing before.....but this time i do not use back up instead i choose new iPhone because if i choose the back up my contact and all my songs will also gone so same la if i choose new iPhone..and its working quite ok for now..but still the keyboard lag.

But it seems that my phone sometime popup a "no service" screen..
Is my baseband corrupted?I'm using 04.05.04_G baseband.

can u make calls? send sms? can u access to wifi? if u can then it shouldnt be any problem.
Usually it would happen when ure in an area whereby the reception either very weak or no
reception at all. I do get it sometimes in my office. Im a maxis user as well.

Funny thing is that I choose backup and everything was backed up, even the videos that I previously have. Regarding the keyboard lag, I only feel it when the keyboard is activated. After that, everything seems normal.

Can you make picture bigger? I can't see what is the problem there.

If I buy a 3G iPhone from HK and it's unlock does it mean that it would work with any telco in M'sia?

Finally updated to 2.0.2 thru iTunes, keyboard lag is decreasing and apps launch and close smoothly, it's also responsive.

if the iphone is an unlock version, when i update the firmware via itunes does the phone still stay unlock?

If you bought it OTB (Unlock Out of The Box) then it will remain unlock after an upgrade or restore. Thats the beauty of getting an officially unlock phones compare to the one that need to be unlock with software hacks (software unlock).
