i think the result sure be around 11k.. if 3ghz..
last night tight the ram abit increase from 11.4k to 11.6k to 11.8k
for cpu score in vantage..

doing on the stock vcore now.. lazy prime so long..
user posted image

after the result on the cheapo mobo.. i think better spend extra RM200-300 for a better cpu instead of buying expensive board..
mild oc on ES2L up to 400fsb.. quite ok already.. high cpu mul should do good..

yes quite surprised with it..
if only can try beyond 450fsb.. i think 3.5g is no sweat..

the idle temp should be 63/57/58/57..
open the core temp right after priming.. so no record @ idle..

this board rated 1600fsb on OC.. so cannot hope much..
the proc more likely as double E7200...

so ur Core 0 temp oso like mine la..
its hotter than other core..

and even using Red Scorpio, mine always hit 71C ++ at core 0..
usually hovering around that..
and not actually stable at 4GHz.. sweat.gif
too hot i think..and dont really know how to tune it again..

yes² weird core 0 others are lower

but i wonder on E7200 idle <40C
not seems right.. 50C on idle should acceptable..

you can play with advance ram timings n add fsb voltage..

Added on May 27, 2009, 9:21 amstop play² with ram timing at the moment..

normal..vNB.. no help also increase.. optimum @ that 400fsb..
if above 408.. 1 core will failed after sometimes priming.. just accept the mobo limitation..

bro... vFSB isnt the same as vNB... your mobo doesnt have vNB/vMCH adjustment....

sometimes a bit confuse on the naming scheme..
the ram timing also limited..

forgot edy what avail.. overvoltage/deovervoltage and another one..
mobo temp also cannot monitor..

what the hell is vFSB???? i have never heard of it @@ i only know vnb = vmch, vtt = termination voltage, pll, vcore, vdimm... vfsb = pll ka?

if u google abit... vFSB refers to VTT or FSB termination voltage...
@8tvt
lack of vNB/vMCH adjustment option...that's why your mobo is limited to 400MHz FSB... and no wonder your mobo can't reach high FSB...
the reason why u can reach 400MHz is your mobo officially support 400Mhz FSB...
i have a friend using ga-p31ds3 mobo... P31 chip... it has vMCH adjust... i overclocked it.. reached 480MHz easy... but need to pump a lot of voltage to vMCH + adequete coolng...

OHHHHHH... now i get it biggrin.gif...

@8tvt, like wat campsol2k said, without vnb, it'll be a lil hard to reach high fsb... btw for quaddie, reaching high fsb is also a challenge, since u need to make sure all of the cores are stable at such fsb... dats y u rarely see quaddies doing high fsb, and most records of fsb reached is done with dual cores with high multi biggrin.gif

i think i 'rabun' edy.. smile.gif
no much time to play with the mobo.. few hour after work only..

yes using i45 n c2d last time easily can get 500FSB.. no chance to tweak quad..

Added on May 29, 2009, 8:34 amjust checked the bios last night..

another extra voltage are
- fsb overvoltage
- fsb deovervoltage
- gtl ref

no other things can tweak beside vcore n vdimm..
sorry for the inconvenience caused.

guys. need opinion here. just bought q9450 c1 stepping. here is my oc detail.

fsb-450x8 = 3.6Ghz
vcore = 1.28(cpuz)
vtt = 1.26
mch core = 1.2
mch reference = 0.8

other on auto.
is this wat normally c1 stepping can achieve?

yup... thats normally ppl easily reach at 450FSB.... the problem is clocking the quad more than 450Mhz FSB is a challenge... despite low multiplier.
higher voltages, adequate cooling n numerous tweaks are needed to reach 500MHz FSB.
I'm not saying it will rock stable at 500MHz FSB... in my case.. not stable... pass few LinX run only...

nvm. not planning to get higher. edi try 475fsb 7x multiplier. pass IBT 5run. but need much vmch n vtt. tq for the answer. notworthy.gif

@sharkeer
Any screenie?
The max FSB I attained is 480FSB.
Frankly, it is hard to reach there. sad.gif

for my case 500fsb is not really a challenge, if its 500fsb alone... trying 500fsb on max multi, for my case is 9, is a damn big challenge... just getting me 500x9 took me massive tweakings, and i was able to pass only several super pi benchmarks before getting bsod... but 500x6, 500x7, 500x8 is not really hard for me biggrin.gif... max fsb i've reached is 514fsb, either its my mobo fsb wall, or my proc fsb wall... need a dual core to find out @@
