Thanks, so many choices for macro lens sweat.gif. Then there's tokina 100mm. I wouldn't be able getting macro lens at my current situation since I got just enough for zoom lens. Maybe another year or so. That's why I need to buy zoom lens with macro capabilities. Thanks mindkiller for your suggestion. I'd look into it.

Just found another technique, 55-200mm with reverse ring + 50mm. Reverse ring seems cheaper but sure is a little difficult and risky imo.
*
Well, the Tamron SP90 is not that expensive although still more expensive than the 70-300mm Macro.

>_< why tampron 90 SP
where we can have
AF 60mm micro
or even better AF-S 60mm micro
*
Because 60mm is too short for bugs shot. At least thats my believe. And the Tamron SP90 is possibly as sharp as the 105mm for a fraction of the price.

my bad my bad

so 50mm f/1.4 D better or 60mm F/2.8 better
*
50mm f1.4 for the bokehlicious biggrin.gif But its not a macro lens ma. So if you need macro, go with the 60mm lor.

Yep, I realised the problem after it flew away sad.gif Forgot to turn off the R1C1. So it was firing at fullpower and I was shooting at big aperture.

Apa la, budget is sky and ground different. RM2k difference with kit lens tongue.gif

Same places I suggested, J-One at Amcorp Mall, YL at Pudu Plaza or Pro One at Pertama Complex.

Anybody wants a cheap D40 body? tongue.gif

Tried to charge my camera battery today and found out that I misplaced it somewhere. Must've lost it during the trip overseas...  sad.gif

For some reason I have the charger cord but not the charger body itself. Just altogether weird. Anyone knows where I can find some 2nd hand or cheap chargers around? D40's been in the market for a long time... these things should be in ample supply.
*
Buy over my D40, I bundle the charger for you tongue.gif

ala apa sharp or sharper nih tongue.gif sharp is sharp.

The 70-200mm is sharp wide open and so is the 24-70mm. I believe the 14-24mm also sharp wide open. Holy trinity ftw! biggrin.gif

HI there guys...I would like to know why does shutter count is an issue before buying used SLR?
*
well, all shutter have a lifespan. So if its nearing its shuttercount life span, means by the time you buy, you might need to go fix it already. smile.gif

Err usually shutter counts goes way high. Unless you are buying a really really old camera. Otherwise, you dont need to worry so much.

Had a macro shoot at the Singapore Botanical Garden today. The day started off bad enough with my R1C1 running out of juice. Luckily the shop at the Botanical Garden has the batteries I was looking for. After that, I guess I was unfamiliar with the place so I was having trouble finding stuff to shoot.

But at the end of the day, still pretty satisfied with my haul smile.gif
