but i will use 50mm 1.8 + raynox adapter to make it life size, or at least close to it.. sweat.gif

thanks.. just wanna utilize my 50mm, wanted to shoot fireworks pictures with it, but too bad the place i stand is too tight for it..

i heart tat the D40 has no live view..

is it a disadvantage, uncomfortable or is it ok to hav no live view supported camera?

live view wasnt meant to be in SLR... so i dun think there is a need for live view...it is only useful when shooting hard to reach angles...other than that, nobody uses live view

the tech for live view in SLR are not advance enough for you to use it often... for eg the focusing speed and stuff...so damn slow with live view.....

I think the Sony LiveView is pretty good and the Olympus LiveView also not too bad. The D300 wan however is horrible tongue.gif

Sony's DSLR live is the best AFAIK.. and fast switching too..

Speaking of D300... I've used my friend's D300 over a couple o days liao and I think the D40X is a little piece of toy now... tongue.gif

Yeah Fisheye 10.5mm f2.8 on a D300 for the first shot, 50mm f1.8 for second. All photos taken using D300. rclxms.gif
