When you watch the HDMI movie(Original) about 2-3 feet, you can easily see the pixel. But DVD(Original) can't really see it, anyone know why?

QUOTE(J_Vansen_S @ Feb 10 2009, 03:50 PM) hows mkv files compared to dvd9? btw whats the diff in pq interms of dvd9 and dvd mkv (with H264 encoding) owns DVD9. H264 is really amazing. I've downloaded 1 movie only 1GB+(mkv - H264) but the quality is better than the same movie with 4GB+ file encoded with Xvid. Anyone notice the same sympton? I guess Xvid really outdated already. Disclaimer: The above was done solely for the purpose of analysing videos encoded with different codecs. All movies downloaded are promptly destroyed after 24hours after the analysis has been performed.

QUOTE(rx330 @ Feb 10 2009, 05:00 PM) i tot mkv mostly is x264 x264 is the encoder. H264 is the codec. But a lot of people just put x264 in their NFO file because they encode it using x264, hence the confusion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X264http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H264This post has been edited by Matrix: Feb 10 2009, 05:23 PM
