so guys out there? any major differences using cikai cable and PERFECT GRADE cable..(SOrry affected by GUNDAM..mauahha~ )

I'm using a RM15 HDMI cable that I got from Jalan Pasar, since 6 months ago it has been working perfectly fine. Has hooked it up to a few displays even, my monitor, my plasma and another of my friend's LCD, all no prob. No picture distortion, no signal loss, no audio corruption.

If you want to spend RM100 on a cable, feel free to do so. All I can say is that it is a big waste of money for nothing.

For digital (HDMI) yes,but for analogues, you'll not be wasting money. You need better quality cables for analogue signals.

OK..this is for the DVI-HDMI cable..but is it the same for HDMI-HDMI cable?

if i play PS3 games while i'm downloading (i.e: trailer) in ps3. will it do background download? or it will stop?

it will stop if you access the game online mode(Metal Gear Online for example)...if not, it will do background download

Doesn't matter either way. DVI is also a digital signal.

While analog cables do matter, it doesn't mean it also justify buying Monster Component/S-Video/Composite and paying RM200 for it. At most, nothing more than RM50.

Many rumors said that if use PS3 to watch DVD, it will shorten the lifespan of the PS3.
I need some expert to provide some opinion and information on this.
Will it spoil the PS3?
And who is currently using PS3 to watch DVD also please leave a word or two in here, stated whether you face any problem or not after using the PS3 as your DVD player...

I am thinking so too. But how many of them actually spoilt their PS3 by watching DVD ?
IMHO, all cd players as their age gets older their lens tends to become picky, so you need to bring to service center get it serviced and change.

Should be ok coz it's designed for it and also it can upscale. Just don't use the caplang dvds from the roadside.

u see, we all know tat all the optical lens wear and tear after let say maximum of 2 years... so it is acceptable n depand on ur usage also...
but many rumors said playing DVDs in PS3 will spoil the PS3 like instantly... which for me is ridiculars as PS3 claimed to b a one stop entertainment console...

i hope here have users which is currently using his/her PS3 to play DVDs and pass on thier experience...

yeap totally rite...its designed to play games , blue-ray movie and also dvd movie etc...so whats next ( rumors ) cant play games cause it will destroy the ps3?

i wont listen to this kindda rumors...not only ps3 , even xbox360 also had this rumors...come on...btw im using my ps3 for games and blueray movies....

Yeah. I saw this type of lens before, in-person at one of the gameshop who provides lens changing service. Definitely there are two lens, instead of one that was used in earlier batch of 40GB and 60GB PS3s.

fieewh...i guess im one of those ps3 40GB which had the dual lens..cause i bought the lastest batch of 40GB from Gamers Hideout.

err how to use my external harddrive and play the movies in ps3 using the usb ??? need to install os?
