Erm, guy, digital is digital. Any HDMI cable should work the same. The signal 101010 sent through the cable, 101010 received. There should not be any difference on PQ with cap ayam or audioquest cables. It's either you see the picture, or "dead" pixels. Same thing with Astro when it rains (please note for Astro only transmission is digital, the source is still analogue).

But do look for better built/materials to the cable, at least it could last longer.

For analogue (s-video, speaker cables, etc), that's a different story. Cap ayam cable will give you cap ayam PQ. This one you should look for better cables. biggrin.gif

I'm using a RM15 HDMI cable that I got from Jalan Pasar, since 6 months ago it has been working perfectly fine. Has hooked it up to a few displays even, my monitor, my plasma and another of my friend's LCD, all no prob. No picture distortion, no signal loss, no audio corruption.

If you want to spend RM100 on a cable, feel free to do so. All I can say is that it is a big waste of money for nothing.

For digital (HDMI) yes,but for analogues, you'll not be wasting money. You need better quality cables for analogue signals. biggrin.gif

The h264 codec is supported by PS3, but it does not recognize the MOV container. You'll need to remux to other container like MP4. Please refer to first page for details.

unless you got a US Credit Card that registered under a US address, then dont bother trying
US PSN only accept US Credit Card that was registered under US Address.
the only solution?...get the PSN prepaid card from ebay

I've been using my local credit card for my US PSN, using an address of a hotel in Houston since last year. The last successful transaction was on October 6. In fact, never failed to do any transaction.

What I'm saying, you can still try your luck to register. I also don't know why there are some who can, while some can't. nod.gif

i read acougan post earlier, but his steps require the usage of PC space rite? my 1.5TB PC hard disk now left 12Gb only, not enough to temporarily hold the backup data sweat.gif
i am asking if straight swap. new 320gb hard disk put inside ps3 and i use the original 80gb to restore data to the 320gb. thanks.

edit: ok, i re-read your post. i guess need to copy to PC 1st then. thanks for the explanation vorchiel  icon_rolleyes.gif

Or you can borrow your friend's portable (FAT32), do backup, swap the PS3 HDD and format, then restore directly from the portable.

No need to bring the thing back and forth and swapping the portable enclosures. nod.gif

I've been using my PS3 primarily for BD movies for more than a year now. No problem at all. I'm one of those who bought the PS3 solely for BDs, though now my 4-year-ol kid plays some games sometimes.

Bro, it's not meant to be opened.

The Asian PS3s do not have card reader slots.
*
That's not accurate. My Asian 80GB can open.

The new version of 80GB can't because it's basically 40GB version with bigger HDD. Not because it's Asian.
