Thanks to Taukeh jchong for hosting. The Syn1 sounds very nice. I enjoyed it very much. Dual PB13U is now at another lever. An eyes and ears opening session. Thanks

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Mar 13 2012, 10:56 AM) Hi guy, Not sure if this is the right way, but I use a vacuum cleaner fitted with a soft bristle head (kinda like a broom) to clean the dust on the drivers and bullet shaped excursion. As the suction power is not very strong, i just run the bristles softly on the driver surface.Need advice how to clean the dust that is stick to my PSB image B25 speaker cone which u can refer to the picture and any effect if i dont clean dust that is stick to my speaker cone? Thanks Another way I use on really tough dust is to use a microfiber brush. I use the bristles to wipe off the tought dust directly, especially similar to your pic where the driver meets the excursion. You can get microfiber brushes real cheap at DIY stores, around MYR5 at HomeFix. |

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Mar 13 2012, 09:02 PM) The cone should be all right as long you don't directly place the vacuum cleaner on the cone and pull it out. Using dry wiping method should be fine I guess. I think should also be careful not to poke the rubber gaskets on the side of the cone.Added on April 3, 2012, 1:58 pmReview of the Imagine Minis. PSB Imagine Minis Have not seen/heard them in person before but considering for desktop/pc setup with my old yamaha 665. Prolly need a small subseries 1 for lfe. Any other suggestions? KEF3005.1 and B&W Mini Theatre, but both quite expensive in comparison I guess. This post has been edited by wkang: Apr 3 2012, 01:58 PM |

Boss Seong managed to get 2 more plugs for me to plug the top port of my Sync 1 Towers. That tightened up the bass response based on current room interaction, hence I'm able to drive the overall volume up with less reflection.
Other Sync owners had experience blocking the rear ports? In stereophile's review that the reviewer also blocked bottom port only but prob will vary from person due to individual room interaction. Awesome stuff now with clear midrange and better than expected LFE considering my setup from the simple tweak. Kudos to PSB for a nice design cue and boss seong for sourcing the plugs! |

So now you've blocked the top and bottom ports?
I've blocked the middle ports, which reduces the boominess and cleans up the bass. |
