Since they're more & more PSB speakers owner in LYN, I am opening up a thread for the PSB Speaker discussion here.

I have the Alpha T1 & C1, paired with Yamaha RX-V863 & Velodyne CHT-12R.

Tested the Speaker with a Jazz CD sampler (2 channel - Pure direct), I must say the T1 is a very solid performer with such low price. The mid & high is very good but you'll need a good sub to get the good low kicking the butt.

Especially if you are into strings performances, the sound are so real and natural, you can hear the vibration of the strings like they're being perform 1 feet away from you. It's like "seeing" the music....not only hearing.

The most important thing is, it's very easy to drive the speaker, you don't need a high power amp to drive it.

Now I would wonder how the higher end model like Image etc. will sound.....

Sorry, not a PSB owner. How do you keep the sub active with Pure Direct mode?

PSB Alpha is the cheapest PSB range lar...what to show off...only RM1.3k for a pair of floorstander...that's very high-end for peasant like me

aiman...I din set anything, just press pure direct and when I heard the music is so good, so i go near to see if the sub is firing and it is firing.....

btw, i played through PS3

That's strange. I always listen with Pure Direct, and my sub was not active. Nevermnd, I want it that way, pure stereo sound.

The image B25 projection of sound is not as full compared to the alpha T1, but If you like clean clear sound .. i think the image with the same price will be a winner, but for HT with that budget the T1 will be way better ...

Myself have PSB Alpha B monitors for listening to music. For the price i paid they are very good performers.

Amp is NAD C320, CD player NAD 521BEE

I audited Image 15 before.The sound is much much better then Alpha B1.This my own preference.I heard alot said NAD315BEE + Alpha B1 is quite good but i didnt feel any special at all.Only feel nice when Image B15 combined.The sound is like more out especially the vocal.It using more tweeter power.And the intrument sound is out of the speaker.

I have Image C40 and a pair of B1 paired with Onkyo 705. I must said the B1 did a great job as a surround compared to my old cheapo JBL real spk .

I thought in Pure Direct Mode sub is not activated, only in 2 channel stereo.

That's what I thought too....but my sub is working but center & surround no sound ...might be due to playing through PS3....

B25 same price as T1? Mind telling me which shop? Saw RM2000+ on the pricetag for the B25, didn't ask about the price from the salesman hehe...

I'm a new and proud owner of PSB Speakers and thanks for making this thread mpyw....

I have bought a pair of Image T55 that connected to Onkyo 605, the main purpose are for games and movies.
I've decided to bought the T55 after auditioned many floorstanding speakers such as Polk Audio, AE Neo3, Wharfy Diamond and some others....but then, after auditioned the T55, I knew this is the one because the sound it produce is clear and the bass is powerful and accurate.

I'm happy with my new purchase...

my PSB Alpha B. the last ones to be made in canada. for the distance i am seated and the size of the room. it offers absolute value for money. namely because i can't fit floorstanders there, and any speakers which is more expensive won't benefit me significantly due to the lack of space and lousy positioning. i name thy PSB.. winnar!

but i still need a sub for movies...

So I just wanted to say one thing, if you have limited budget or just want something good without breaking your bank or maybe you don't want to spend so much on speakers...get Alpha series you won't regret....and don't listen to rx330
