hi sorry if this is off-topic but

im looking for carpenters/carpentry "wood" painters to come over here (Singapore) and work for us.

no qualifications are required but you must have experience in this field.

pls message me... thank you

(and back to the topic)

just letting u guys know the graduate rate in Singapore now is approx 2.00 to 2.50k/month;

finance sector here is doing quite bad with the collapse of the American market.

locally, companies prefer Singapore universities (NUS/SMU/NTU) or Ivy League schools

but foreign degrees are often welcome too..

Btw i have a fren who is working in KPMG malaysia, does anybody know the market rate for an auditor with 3 years exp? Btw currently he works OT sometimes 4-5 hours a day but doesnt get any OT pay.
If he goes to a Big 4 audit firm in Sg, he should be asking around +$3K if he's still a junior. Around +$4K if he's a senior and professionally qualified.

QUOTE(crapp0)
He graduate from tarc with an accountancy degree from UK and has ACCA cert.
Ummm... pardon me but if he graduated from TARC, then his degree is from TARC - although a UK university issued it. That's like buying a Bestari from Naza and telling people you have a Peugeot from France.

I turned down an offer by LTA as project engineer last week (they offered me 2.5k) because they told me i need to work at the site  (I am a girl, hello?). So now i need to start seraching again..so stressful...sighzzzzz...

*

QUOTE(hotsungie @ Sep 26 2008, 02:47 PM)
Just saw your question.erm...my mind set is that i wan to do something that related to marketing or finance or consultancy. yeah i discussed with my families and frens. My parents actually gave me freedom to choose by myself. And my friends telling me that, if u are feeling unsure or unhappy about it, then just dont do it. and keep on applying. But i am not so sure that is that my major allowed me to find a job in marketing +finance..no idea
*
if i were ur fren my advise would hav been take the job worry later

If they 'send' it to you, that means you're not in Sg, no? If you see something suitable in the paper that your friends will send to you, will you be coming down to Sg immediately to view the room?

Getting someone to send you a few days old paper is okay for researching the market prices, areas, what's available etc, but I think it's useless if you actually need a room soon but are back in Mys. Good places are snapped up pretty quick one or two days after the ad appears in the papers.

2 wks to a month before you need the room, I suggest you take a 2 or 3 day trip to Sg and spend it calling up landlords and viewing rooms. Easier route is to just pay an agent so that you don't waste time and only view suitable places within your budget.
