Ongbs is right, the digital output of Sansui CD-X310 is an optical jack. If you're also contemplating picking up this player, do allow me to suggest that there is another dearer model of Sansui CD-X510 which is purportedly made-in-Japan being advertised by the same vendor at RM400 at HiFi4Sale. During telecon with him, he was prepared to drop price to RM380. He claimed the printed specification of that CD player is much better but when I asked what he actually heard, he said he couldn't differentiate between the two CD players, hence my decision to buy the cheaper model.

On the drawer of my Sansui CDP-X310 is printed ΔΣ digital conversion which means 'Delta-Sigma', any idea on the digital-to-analogue convertor used?

If you're planning to use the Sansui cdp as a CD transport alone; my own perception is that it's a bit wasted as the Sansui CD-X310 sounds great as an integrated CD player.

In a nutshell: A delta sigma ADC or DAC always consists of a delta sigma modulator which produces the bitstream and a low pass filter.
I think the DAC is made by Cirrus Logic.

hehe Y.C, actually I am aiming at that X510 It has higher S/N ratio and lower harmonics, at least on paper
High possibility I will give up as I am still happy with my sony CDPs.
Most of the time I am using CDP-M43, still got another player as spare, that is why hard for me to buy another unit

I tested with CDR burned >32X and no skipping at all when play in my Sony CDP

I think these Sansui is using 2 x PCM56P ADC.
