xtorm, jazzy, this Mean Well is quite a famous Taiwanese brand (value to money) in industrial grade SMPS, that is why I said RM55 is a bargain.

This SMPS should be industrial grade, not just mean for DIYers, I used some of their 24V SMPS in industrial PLC control environment back to 1996,
working fine in 7/24 non air-cond and dusty environment (even in India) .... smile.gif

Those cap palang PC PSU really can't compare with this brand.

jazzy, this SMPS I kept for around 10 yrs liau tongue.gif
it is 24V 2.1A version, close to 200 bucks that time.

BTW, note the "V Adj" trimmer? It can be adjusted around 10% of the output voltage (11V to 13V+) thumbup.gif

added:

some of my audio gears for T-amp test, sorry for the blurry image due to shaky hand and flash off (so you can se the nice display) doh.gif biggrin.gif

Added on August 29, 2008, 11:15 amhaha, jazzy...you managed to dig out more info about this little germs liau tongue.gif

10 years! I believe it can go another 10 years liao!  rclxms.gif
Yes, I have noticed. Just downloaded the manual/datasheet from the website. Thanks for the link! tongue.gif

Alamak, jealous lah tengok itu MD deck... I 'almost' bought one a while back. When I came back to the shop, it was gone! sad.gif

Yeahh! Value for money I'd say! Just like our T-Amp!  rclxm9.gif
*
which MD deck you saw huh? maybe just sapu by me doh.gif
Will, I like MD due to its durability (all MD discs c/w plastic case so no scratch issue, i just pop in and out, even just throw around in the glove compartment in my car).

That 24V MW SMPS with me 10yrs without power ON, still virgin brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif
May dig out another one or two units more, if my wife didn't throw it away lah! sweat.gif

Yes.. I think the shop must thank us and give good discounts on our next purchases.. brows.gif

Damn.. I can't remember the name of the shop!  shakehead.gif

...hey budak...main-main ah doh.gif tongue.gif joking...

"10 years never powered? doh.gif You sure can still 'ON' meh? tongue.gif"

hehe...if it drop from 24VDC to 12VDC then just nice...I may use it to power my T-amp as well laugh.gif

Update:
My 13V 2.1A SMPS already enough to drive my amp to full load with the extra 2x8200uF, I can't tell the different from 12V 4A SMPS!

This is certainly good news!
Then can get the 1.3A SMPS for a mere RM38!  thumbup.gif
*
I blast at damn high level...we hardly drive to that level for normal listening condition.
So 1.3A should be enough provided you got enough uF brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

Jazzy,

This afternoon was too rush; ran a few errants nearby my office area and it's already too late to go KL, so going down to JP tomorrow instead. Xtorm told me you indicated the shop is near Nixie and he asked me to be on a lookout for a young and skinny Chinese girl and that's the shop.  brows.gif

Picked up my T-amps from xtorm this afternoon. Wow, the actual board is so small ya; don't know whether it got enough space for us to fit in those caps and resistors we ordered or not? And not forgetting the extreme care we need to exercise with the soldering iron.  doh.gif

Thanks for concern.  biggrin.gif
