i got the same problem today morning... jailbreak the second time without installing Icy will help...

What's the point of jailbreaking if you can't install apps through cydia though?

My main JB purposes are OpenSSH (for changing sms tones) and Winterboard for themes, neither of which I can install now cos of the Cydia problems


I get this error too.

From random google'ing, two possible reasons are 1. conflicts with Icy (some people are reporting after re-jailbreaking without installing Icy solves the problem) and 2. problems with the 0.7.2 version of redsn0w (some people are reporting re-jailbreaking with 0.7 or 0.7.1 solves the problem).

I'm at work so won't be able to try either til I get home tonight though.

Last night i did a jB for my friend,

1) I never install Icy

2) I used redsn0w 0.7.2


So far,no problem at all. Cydia work. Can install Sbsetting....bla...bla...bla..

i already JB 4 iphone so far. 1 2G and three 3G.. None of them got a problem.

I am online via 3G and Cydia 3.01 (I think) still keeps quitting. Will try at home with Wifi and see if this solve the issue.

Sometime it quits after a few second sometime it quite while loading data (I think).

Tried in safemode also cannot. Banyak susah ....

You JB using what ? So far,my exp, redsn0w 0.7.2 is better. Cydia open more faster. About stability, i dont have any exp,

I JB again without installing Icy. Problem Solved. But the Icy icon still on my springboard.

maybe i install the icy when jb.let me jb n try again.thank for information.

I JB using redsn0w 0.7.1, is there any difference because Cydia runs and only crash after I update Cydia this morning.

What i can say, cydia run more faster than previous 0.7.1, and regarding cydia crash or quit, i dont face that problem on both version.

Dya realize that there is no posix error in Cydia with 3.0? Or Im yet to meet it? So far, never come across

have you install OpenSSH onto your iphone? mine was like you before and after i install OpenSSH from cydia then it works for me, i use Disk aid and also Transmit from my mac and it works like charm.

p/s: after install openSSH reboot first to make the successful rate high~.
