Has anyone ever done customized toggles on SBSettings? Can't seem to find those features anywhere even on Google ... maybe I'm Googling the wrong keywords ??


Basically i'm looking at having some convenient buttons in SBSettings to start/stop the SOCKS proxy server and the BIND/DNS server without having to tap-and-type the console commands via MobileTerminal.


I remember the old BossPrefs could be user-customised to start/stop services like Proxy Server, Socks server, etc etc in the FW 1.1.X era.
(launchctl load and unload those plists ... etc etc)

Could this be done on SBSettings, (the BossPrefs replacement) in FW 2.2.1 ?

If memory serves me right ... u need to to create the toggle (which is an application by itself) using the SBSettings SDK.

SBSettings recently had an update to version 2.99. The update bring some significant changes to the application.

In the Extras and Options, the ability to turn off/on the numeric wifi, numeric GSM (ph one strength), numeric battery, to add the date to the status bar and the ability to enable/disable SBSettings on the lock screen and during a call.

Changes for 2.x firmware:
• Added ability to move toggle order around.
• More app: Added mobile substrate extensions manager. You can now troubleshoot a poorly performing device by disabling and enabling various installed mobile substrate extensions. (Requires respring after toggling).
• More app: Added numeric wifi, numeric GMS (phone) to extras menu.
• More app: Added statusbar date toggle button in extras menu to enable or disable statusbar date.
• Reworked how root requiring toggles work. As such, we can now system out to processes as root. This enables Safari download and other toggles! (Expect them soon).
•You can now select from several options to customize the behaviors of SBSettings:
• Enable or disable the U/I from lock screen
• Enable or disable the U/I during calls
• Enable or disable the date in status bar.
• Enable or disable the memory free in status bar.
• Enable or disable numeric battery, wifi, or GSM (phone strength).
• Revamped the U/I on the more - extras screen.
