For those who are having trouble using Cydia, an alternative solution is to install Icy via Cydia.

Use Icy for your current downloads.

what's my solution?...well...i go to installer, and find ICY..then i install ICY in the iphone...
from ICY...you can set the source, and there's alot of source you can choose...so i select all...
one thing that i can say about icy, it rarely gives me POSIX timeout kinda thing and i'm enjoying ICY every single bit of it!..seriously!.....

happy installing!

Check the info on SwirlyMMS2 and the screenshot via Cydia.

The current infos are:

1) Builtin voice recorder allowing you to easily record and send audio clips via MMS.
2) Save a received audio clip as iPhone ringtone.
3) Customize the MMS alert - receive, sent, error, delivery
4) Reply to a received MMS with a normal text SMS
5) Keep an eye on when your friends received your MMS with coloerd check (Grey and Green)
6) Attach your signature on each outgoing MMS and also include your current GPS location and open a received GPD position in google maps
7) Save MMS as drafts for later editing and sending.

You will need to purchase Mobile Log USD 7.99. MobileLog - manage incoming and outgoing calls and SMS.

Mobile Terminal - A command-line terminal for iPhone to install command-line applications.

Best is to try via wi-fi. But if you're in a crappy area like me where Streamyx often fails when using Cydia ... one option (albeit a little expensive if you don't need it) is to use your telco's EDGE/3G connection. In my case, I often open Cydia using Digi's EDGE without problems. If you still want to try via Streamyx, an option is to try early in the morning as one of the users here had said.

Not really, you can access the Cydia w/out fail if your internet connection was good/ strong. Ive try plenty, sometimes when access via home streamyx, fail attempt would be there. At office, the corporate streamyx never fail. If using edge, it even expensive for maxis tongue.gif

Hi there smile.gif

Im still fairly new to my Ipod Touch and Cydia. I've been trying to get OpenSSH from Cydia but since yesterday i've been getting the error POSIX: Operation Timed Out. I could get some other apps but some others also same error.

Is there any other alternative on getting OpenSSH? I've tried looking for other sources but non had OpenSSH.

Actually the main reason im getting OpenSSH is so that i can download apps in .deb format and install it in my Touch. Should be faster and beats downloading using Cydia.

Any suggestions guys? Is Cydia always this slow? And is it possible to install .deb files using IphoneBrowser without OpenSSH?

Thanks!
