*

guys, i have some problem here.

i'm able to download apps from Cydia on my FW 2.2 soft-unlock phone but when i tried the same thing on a freshly restored and jailbroken FW2.2.1 official-unlock, it keep giving me time-out pop outs.

Able to install:
- BossPrefs
- Flashlight

Not able to install:
- OpenSSH (http://apt.saurik.com POSIX: Operation timed out)

any idea what's wrong? been trying since 4PM. never had issues like this with another phone. be it updating or downloading apps. rclxub.gif

Is this me only? did i do anything wrong while jb-ing? any sifu can help, this is getting quite frustrating. Please and thank you all the sifus here

i have used both my house wifi and office wifi.

openSSH is not from iSpazio, it's from the default telesphoreo repo. Try again and see. I don't have any problem from any of the repo, even iSpazio.
*
every time i load Cydia there's a notice above saying 'cache error' etc. couldn't seem to have any updates from iSpazio too. and keep getting time out from telesphoreo for OpenSSH. (using iPhone 3G with newly upgraded 2.2.1 FW)

EDIT: i'm using Streamyx too. tried at two different WiFi router and it's still the same. not sure it has anything to do with Streamyx or Cydia's server.

might be problem of your internet connection (eg, Streamyx etc.). try again at some other time, when traffic is less, such as 2AM onwards. it happens occasionally. nothing worry about. smile.gif

just search for those apps in Cydia, before you decide to download each app, there's a description of each app.

I have a minor query. It's regarding SwirlyMMS.

I have several unread MMS'es but can't open them to read probably due to the expiration of the duration limit. I want to delete them but can't find anywhere I can click/tap to delete/trash. Found out that only those read are with the trash bin for deletion. Could someone provide an answer please? TQ.

tried the swipe to delete (right to left) method?

Tried it but don't really like it. Everything vibrates even you launch an app or switching pages.

Updates:

SBSettings 1.10-2 and libgcc update
iBlackList 2.3-3 - Update
File2Mail 1.1 - Update
Tether: A new application for the iPhone by Tethering (14 days Trial) $ 4.99
xGPS 1.2.6
PushMod
TypeFastR
Vibrus 3G

Various Themes.

Guys... would appreciate your help. for the last few days, cydia has notify me to upgrade about 7 packages such as openSSL, openSSH, sbsetting etc but when i accept the updates, this message 'posix:operation time out' appear, thus upgrade cannot be completed. i have also been getting this message quite frequent whenever i tried to install other cydia packages. sometimes it works. my wifi & internet connection seems ok. is the problem related to the phone or source? anyone has the same problem? is there any solutions?
*
@davidgary73:

thanks mate. smile.gif

@graneon:

it always give me posix:operation time out error when i download using my home WiFi at peak hours (evening till midnight) but when i tried around 4-5AM, most of the time it's fine. plus, tried it at other hotspots and seems to be working too. so most probably is due to the internet connection.

this issue has been discussed previously.

just re-jailbreak without installing Icy.

and if you need Icy, install it through Cydia after the jailbreak.
