do i need wireless router to download app from cydia?
can i just sync with a pc with internet?

Dont install it yet if 1.1.6, last night found that apple using diff method for this and it's more complicated than before. Temporary solution, save number without +6. All incoming call will appear caller name. But you must use BiteSMS as default if u want sms appear name. Using default sms will appear num only. (applicable for celcom only, for maxis just reverse the method).

I face that problem 3 times last nite and kinda wasted 2 hrs.     

Try this:

1) Set your autolock to never.
2) Put your phone near your wifi router.

After the steps above, i manage to complete my download.       

yup. you ask them how near i stood beside my router when i was downloading offline maps (as mine failed a couple of times)

so its the phone humping the router or the other way round?

I got same problem.But only Wifi toggle got problem. So i uninstall bosspref(I had tried reinstall but no luck) and install Sbsettings. So far so good.

BiteSMS just release 3.0 beta but with a twist ... it's no more a free app. It will be a trial app and you need to purchase the app if you want to continue using it. Read the features below especially the last part. If you want to keep using it without paying, I suggest you don't update to BiteSMS 3.0 beta.

anybody installed bitesms 3.0 yet?? any review yet??if it worth ur 6USD for this app?? haha else i would just stick with 2.7 for the rest of my life.. hoho

guys, i have some problem here.

i'm able to download apps from Cydia on my FW 2.2 soft-unlock phone but when i tried the same thing on a freshly restored and jailbroken FW2.2.1 official-unlock, it keep giving me time-out pop outs.

Able to install:
- BossPrefs
- Flashlight
Not able to install:
- OpenSSH (http://apt.saurik.com POSIX: Operation timed out)
any idea what's wrong? been trying since 4PM. never had issues like this with another phone. be it updating or downloading apps. 

sounds like wifi connection problem while dling 1/2 way line terputus.. sames like i dl using my company wifi... line sometimes not stable and leads to this

Quick Call

guy, as far as i know, there's an apps that we can use our iPhone as a wireless modem rite? what is the name of that apps?

and one more thing, anybody using "makeitmine" apps? i noticed that, after i change to my owned carrier name, i cannot send out @ rec. MMS using swirlyMMS....anybody have the same problem? thanks

It's 1.3.2 and no.. havent purchased it. Need to confirm it works first before I splurge RM32
