Dont install it yet if 1.1.6, last night found that apple using diff method for this and it's more complicated than before. Temporary solution, save number without +6. All incoming call will appear caller name. But you must use BiteSMS as default if u want sms appear name. Using default sms will appear num only. (applicable for celcom only, for maxis just reverse the method).

i tink they hv removed it la...

I face that problem 3 times last nite and kinda wasted 2 hrs.  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

Try this:

1) Set your autolock to never.
2) Put your phone near your wifi router.

After the steps above, i manage to complete my download.  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

BiteSMS just release 3.0 beta but with a twist ... it's no more a free app. It will be a trial app and you need to purchase the app if you want to continue using it. Read the features below especially the last part. If you want to keep using it without paying, I suggest you don't update to BiteSMS 3.0 beta.

another app which i'll hv 2 but..smile.gif
any idea how much is it expected 2 be?

guys, i have some problem here.

i'm able to download apps from Cydia on my FW 2.2 soft-unlock phone but when i tried the same thing on a freshly restored and jailbroken FW2.2.1 official-unlock, it keep giving me time-out pop outs.

Able to install:
- BossPrefs
- Flashlight
Not able to install:
- OpenSSH (http://apt.saurik.com POSIX: Operation timed out)
any idea what's wrong? been trying since 4PM. never had issues like this with another phone. be it updating or downloading apps.  rclxub.gif

BiteSmS
Version 3.1

QUOTE

    *  Added support for language translations in Quick Reply.
    * Quick Reply is much improved, including scrolling for long messages.
    * Added ability to long press the "Send" button in Quick Reply to switch between Carrier and biteSMS.
    * We now disable the Quick Reply "Send" button during the sending process.
    * Added new settings icon on the conversation list screen, and removed the little blue arrow settings icon.
    * Added new "About >" page on the settings screen, shows Version, License, Legal, Change Log, Features Help, Contacts (count), SMS Conversations (count) and Messages (count).
    * Fixed smileys layout issue (only a problem for certain language translations).
    * Fixed smileys issue, where if you forward a text with a smiley it thinks it's an emoji (so distorts character counter).
    * Fixed smileys issue, where if you enter the ASCII for a smiley like :-) then rotate the screen, it thinks it's an emoji (so distorts character counter).
    * Fixed the Settings->Privacy screen to automatically size the borders according to the help text (currently truncates the help text for some languages).
    * Added new feature to reset the Mobile Carrier sent messages counter on a given calendar day, or to manually set it.
    * Added support for calls from other applications to biteSMS via the protocol "biteSMS:number1,number2,number3 etc", so that applications such as ABContacts or other Group type applications can now call biteSMS and specify multiple numbers.
    * Fixed up bubble width to be like the native Apple SMS application for short multi-line texts.
    * Added a "Smileys" setting to control if Smiley images should be shown instead of ASCII characters.
    * Fixed up various bugs and minor enhancements raised in the Version 3.1 (beta1) release (Quick Reply blurred text / scroll bar / edgy corners with artifacts) + (auto-correct settings not displaying) + (Compose New animation now like Apple one) + (Features Help / Change Log have larger font and display a busy loading indicator) + (improved settings icon and responsiveness and animation) + (Legal button pressed state display issue) + (business name now appears when choosing from contacts list) + (when adding multiple contacts to an SMS, the last location in the Contacts screen is now remembered).

This Morning when i access Cydia.

The row above "saurik is at CTIA Wireless"
reads
"Microsoft Buys Cydiat"

briefly i read Bill actually gone to CTIA to meet saurik to conclude the deal.

saurik will be working on silverstream for Cydia

but now that row is gone from Cydia Home.

Quick Compose

Browsing the Internet and suddenly remember you need to send an SMS? Send one with Quick Compose without quiting the browser – press Volume Up, then tap "Quick Compose SMS". Easy!

Quick Call

Tip: you can use Quick Compose to quickly call someone without quitting the app you're in. First go to Quick Compose, pick a recipient, and then, instead of typing a message, tap "Call". Neat.
