For iPod Touch, you need to BUY the 2.0 upgrade. 2.0 Upgrade is free for iPhone users only. Asking for images here would signify downloadable item, which constitutes piracy.
It is unfortunate that Apple treats the iPod Touch owners like this, but that's the way things are. Asking for iPod Touch images or firmware for 2.0 here constitutes a piracy act, thus not allowed. |

QUOTE(D-Zire @ Aug 12 2008, 04:55 PM) sleepers' and iclarified links have been posted over and over again and i just dun understand why ppl keep on asking and asking for guides. Not many people are as good and as smart as you SIR....Congratulation on your success too. I believe you must be very PROUD of it. If you see the treats carefully, allot have failed when following the given instructions (from those given URLs) even though it has been posted everywhere. What was asked before is merely a favour from 'willing' users and 'Forumers' who has done it successfully and cleanly...Anyway,thanks for sharing your thoughts and exprience.Just follow step-by-step from sleepers' guide (i think is better than iclarified) and do the pawning...i did that i have no problems whatsoever be either error 6 or error 9999 pawning the phone.....now i'm on 2.0.1 |

QUOTE(TeK_KeN @ Aug 12 2008, 11:13 PM) I do have both installed but for now, i prefer cydia as there are many apps than installer. Check this post i started. You will see that cydia has more apps than i4.http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/763530 If you're gonna install both Installer 4 and Cydia, do have your root partition at 550MB to avoid error 6. I have try many times, but still getting this error, please help me. Ok... what i did when i got the same 1601/1602 error.... That time, im on iTunes 7.7... Uninstall them all including everything Apple submachine as updater, mobiles, quicktime and make sure you clean recycle bin... delete manually ur itunes library folder or you can rename it... when you're clean em all, restart ur pc....Now, reinstall fresh iTunes (Prefer the latest 7.7.1)... It comes with all updater/mobile support/quicktime... Now restart ur pc again (dunno if necessary but restarting after any installation is always a good habbit)... Once pc boot up, Recook ur ipsw... At this cooking point, if you prefered to have all cydia, installer, utubefix, bootimage, you need atleast 600mb partition resized... some of them here claimed 550mb i enough to avoid error 6 but its not working on my machine... My recomendation, Only pick Cydia+Youtubefix (Installer 4 is still beta and still sucks) and set partition to lowest 500mb... or more if you want to but there's always a bosstools to free some space... Now build ur ipsw and ipwner ur itunes rightaway after done.... (at this point, i restarted my pc again so it will be super fresh when restoring/flashing process later... I hope this works....... |
