2.0.1 is working sweeet !!!

all my downloaded apps like super monkey ball, GTR & many many apps still working !!!

Haha !! locked and loaded with firmware 2.0.1 !



Initially i thought i had screwed the phone coz i had the error (6), then i realize i didn't load the DFU mode properly.

It seems like there are a few of us outside here who need 'fool-proof' advice and procedures (step-by-step) on how to upgrade our older firmwares to 2.0.

Appreciate if anyone who have done it successfully and cleanly to share with us the right way of doing it (something like a manual/user guides).

Take note.

1) Make sure you got the correct firmware image for your 2g or 3g phone. They are not the same. You will get 160x errors (1600, 1601, 1602, 1604) if used wrong firmware image for your device.

1) Custom your root partition to 550MB as many have error 6 while restoring.

3) DFU mode has to be correct.

sleepers' and iclarified links have been posted over and over again and i just dun understand why ppl keep on asking and asking for guides.

Just follow step-by-step from sleepers' guide (i think is better than iclarified) and do the pawning...i did that i have no problems whatsoever be either error 6 or error 9999 pawning the phone.....now i'm on 2.0.1

In your case, you can't directly upgrade to 2.0.1. U need to virginize the phone first coz the early unlocking software have a bug that mess up the NCK counter. Virginizing will reset the counter so you will not face the IMEI start with 4900 (or something like dat) and other problem. Add i.unlock.no to the installer repo and there's a virginizing pack in there.

or is there any other application that can be used to log into MSN messenger ???
