bunvirus, what u using to cover ur camera from rain? can share? i am looking for a cover

i cover my camera using my extra shirt.. LOL.. but i cover nice nice until no rain can reach my camera lor..
until today, my camera working fine..

how long you wanna wait. 50D is projected to be released in Oct

if the camera not weather sealed then what will happen when kena water? the water go inside and then habis lo? wahha..

that is what im wandering what happen to the dude beside me at the sloggi event while i was shooting picture.. coz he literally didnt cover his camera under the rain at all..

till summer.. coz summer can work extra hour.. hahhaa

what is the expected price for 50D body ?

another simple way to protect gears by DCM

1. Bag it
Take off your lens hood and place the bag over the lens so that a corner covers it and makes a cone shape.


2. Cut it
Keeping the bag taut, use your fingernail to rub the edge of the bag so it cuts it perfectly to the lens shape.


3. Hood up
Refit your lens hood taking care to make sure the bag doesn’t move and cover any part of the front element.


4. Eye eye
All SLR cameras have a removeable eye-cup. Take it off and pull the bag over it so the open end faces down.


5. Manhandle
Pinch or tear a small hole using your fingernail and pull it tight so it sits snugly around the eye-cup surround.


6. Refit
Place the eye-cup back over the mount so the bag sits in between the camera body and the eye-cup. Done!

That is very usefull hahaha...but wouldn't the water like sip through tiny gaps of the lens?

this is not safe lar...so messy sumore...get a underwater casing better....

That would cost a bomb...
It's safer then not having any protection at all...

40D can tahan under the rain exposed. 10-20 minutes shouldn't be a problem.

It's not the camera that I'm afraid off, it's the lens...I still dare not try it under the rain though..
