QUOTE(CrossFirE @ Aug 12 2008, 07:43 PM) if you can get 450D, then it is good. if not try to consider 1000D or 400D. they snap great pictures but you really need a good lens. 50mm F1.8 lens is a must when you get your first dslr. guess what, a friend of mine just got his 450D with kit lens. with my lil advice, he bought the 50mm f1.8 at the same time. i still remember what he said after the 1st shot with the 50mm f1.8. 'i feel like i'm a photographer already'

QUOTE(derek87 @ Aug 14 2008, 03:53 PM) goldie goldie... 50mm F1.2 really different lor.. u try it, u will fall in love with it.. haha.. but practically the 50 F1.4 is enough la... hehe... yea, i belief there must be a reason behind the premium pricing. like super sharp at wide open unlike the 50mm f1.4, only super sharp after f2.8.

20D/30D/40D to 50D is not an upgrade. they are all semi pro dslr. i would only consider full frame as an upgrade from X0D series.

^ canon only gave 'Pro' service to their 'Pro' User aka 1 digit body + L lens customers. just take a look at their latest 'Canon Professional Service', only if you own a L Lens
