Fingernail? Kidding or for real? Someone suggested using a credit card, but the card is too thick to squeeze into the gap (is there even a gap?).

Ehh can't be bothered to go through the whole thread.

Anyone got compatibility problems with Garmin (4.10.80) & the latest (Jan 2008) free malsingmaps?

For my N82 basically,

-> I have to turn off the auto-rotate (otherwise when screen rotate the map sometimes doesn't re-draw and the phone hangs)
-> 3D view doesn't work. Top-down only.

Wondering if anyone has this problem.

hie.. any body using N82 as modem (MAXIS HSDPA) for the whole day? will it disconnected often?

It depends on the telco network signal strength and coverage. As long as your N82 has near full signal (not half), then it will not disconnect. It will jump between 3.5G and 3G while surfing.

Also, I always use CA101 USB cable + USB cable extensions to drag it longer and put the phone at a better reception area. Longest I used is 3x extensions. Then pull another power cable and plug in charger.

I tried with bluetooth, but it keeps getting disconnected or hang, and need to disconnect/reconnect. Even after reboot notebook and switch off/on N82.

I've connected recently for >8 hours continuous without disconnection. Also downloaded patch files 300MB in <2 hrs.

Near the data transfer port? That's located way up and not any near to the keypad. The sound is especially loud when I press the plastic around the keys, a loud SQUUUEEAAAKK. I actually see a gap between the keypad cover and the red or green button. Any precautions I should take before starting? Or is there even any complete guide for this?

What do you want to do with it exactly? Navigate? You are using Nokia maps?

Depends on luck I suppose. Quite sad to be one of the unlucky ones, else the phone will be just perfect.

Actually the noise is not so obvious now already compare to when I got the phone. The noise will be very minimum provided you press on the key only and not the cover. If you press the cove, there it goes, ngek ngek ngek ngek ngek ngek laugh.gif
