try reducing the brightness of the screen..tat will definitely help
check for any applications tat u hv not exit properly..press & hold the menu button to c any apps still active in the background..

That's the thing. I don't have an N82. It is one of the phone I am currently considering purchasing. If Nokia Maps is good, that is a bonus as I only have to carry 1 device. Can save on cost as well.  Too bad the Garmin software requires external BT dongle or "pasar malam" workaround  tongue.gif
*
n82 has integrated gps
u can install the Garmin Mobile XT into the phone
u can either choose to pay or ahem ahem it
alot of sources r available in the internet
and btw..y need extra BT dongle? this phone has BT wat.. blink.gif

or mayb it's me who doesnt und ur statement? unsure.gif unsure.gif tongue.gif

My 112th post  doh.gif  on how long N82 authorised set battery can last, from full charge, unplug and use.
No themes, no applications running in background.

1) Play games (pool, car racing, bejeweled, etc.) non stop = <3 hrs

2) GPS <2 hrs (you definitely need a car cigarette adapter charger if you travel often)

3) 3G/GPRS data download non-stop 1.5-2.5 hrs. Not much difference to use USB/Bluetooth connection

4) Plain talking non stop >60 minutes. I give up after that.

5) Standby only, <10 minutes call, <10 sms, no games/GPS/3G/GPRS. Can standby 3-4 days.

Anything I miss ?

i find that the keys of n82.. needs some getting used to.. 3rd day using..getting faster but still making mistakes typing wrong key.

yes..a-gps using telco
it uses telco's network to help ur device to lock on satellite's signals faster

guys would like to ask you guys something

I was looking at my phone and all of a sudden i spotted a slight opening between the area where the screen and the red button joins...... (near where the camera snap buttons are)

wonder if your phone has it or is it jus mine.
It doesn't seem like the phone was damaged cause the plastic there is not loose.
*
it's normal no worries
put the screen facing u, u can c another slight opening at the usb data port place..
it's actually very ez to take out the front panel of the phone tho..u can even use fingernails to pry open the cover
