Any event near soon that will bring N82's price down? It sure doesn't feel good to buy now at 1.3k and a week later it's only 1k. I don't quite like the bulky feel of this phone, but who can resist after seeing the sample photos?

Is a black or titanium better by the way?

but how the accelerator respond to it...

I suppose it detects your movement, when you move the phone left or right, turn it or whatsoever.

For the user that is using 8GB card, is the 8GB fully occupied or just 1 or 2GB is being used?

Any detailed guide on how to use the internal GPS with Nokia Maps? I don't think I have Malaysia map in it as it's not a local version.

My n82's keypad part looks fragile. When i press the keys, there's those ngek ngek sound, like there's not enough support below it. Is that normal? If not can i get it fixed by warranty? Posting this via opera mini smile.gif

Meaning it's a common problem? If yes them it's fine, i was worrying mine is a recond set or something. And there's a dust below my screen, don't dare to force open the the screen part to remove the dust. The more i look at the phone the more sexy it looks, especially the back part. Black unit.

I wanted Telstra but no stock, so end up with BBS. By the way, if anyone have a solution to solve the keypad squeaking sound, please post it here. That's the only thing that makes the phone not perfect.

Whenever I plug out the USB cable after some data transfers, the phone will say "Data may have been lost. Data transfers should be stopped before removing the cable". The thing is I have already removed it safely on my computer, which indicates it is safe to plug the USB cable already. Any idea? hmm.gif

I face the same problem with my previous i550w. Now I use a different computer with a different phone, same problem. How weird?

I have created a Flickr group to share photos among Lowyat.NET N82 users. I made it a public group but by invitation only, but I'm not really sure how it works tongue.gif Maybe you guys can PM me your Flickr name or email address and I'll invite you to the group?

Current group URL: http://flickr.com/groups/807177@N25/

Any idea how I should name the group URL? flickr.com/groups/lyn-n82 or something?

Are u using Vista or XP?
When i use XP no problem but Vista error prompt out. Its normal for Vista i guess!!! rclxub.gif

Both XP and Vista. My i550w with XP has the same problem. My N82 with Vista have the same results. I ask a friend who is also using i550w and he says he doesn't have this problem. Although there's no actual data lost, it's still annoying to see the message. I'm getting a bluetooth doogle and a card reader to do the job now.

Having this phone for almost two weeks already, overall the feature is great, but now I think I have to send it back to Telstra office for warranty claims.

My phone seems like a faulty unit, it keep crashing and show white screen for no apparent reasons, and whenever I try to use the music player to play some MP3, it crashed after a few seconds of playing. Now it even sudden restart itself when I just left my phone on the desk and didn't touch it all.

At first I tot it is the memory card culprit, so I bought another kingston microSD card to replace the original Nokia microSD, but the result still the same. I even try to hard reset the phone (using *#7370#) and still no luck. I checked my phone using Nokia Software updater and it show I already have the latest firmware (v20.0.62).

So anyone have the similar problem with mine? Or just that I am too bad luck perhaps... doh.gif

The problem start from day 1? No such problem so far.

Anyone using 8gb microSD ? Is it stable and cause slowness ?

I plan to upgrade it soon ... currently using 2gb, but I feel want to utilise it lol
*
If I'm not mistaken, someone indeed is using an 8GB and posted some feedback in the earlier page. He says there is no lag although he has used up more than 7GB. That sounded good.

P/s: Should I invest on a screen+keypad+back protector for RM9? Will the phone get scratched that easy?

yes quite some ppl r using the 8gb card and no complains. im waiting for 16gb to b cheap

invest on invisible shield..if u hv the bux wink.gif
*
Invisible shield is too expensive. The 3 in 1 protector is only RM6+RM3(postage), which is quite affordable. But I'm not sure if it feels bad if I have it stuck on the phone. If the phone is good at scratch resistance then I will prefer leave it like that.

Why izit the N82 have so many problem one...

Even the greatest phone have its own problem. So far I don't think there is really any perfect phone. The thing is if majority of the users are satisfied with it, your should know if it's worth getting one.

QUOTE(ziggy87 @ Aug 16 2008, 10:40 PM)
it has so many glossy surface..do u think it's scratch resistance?
if it is then i dun think it'll b priced at 1k+

You have the point, I'll order one of those RM6 next week.

To those who have a Flickr account, please share your photos taken by your N82 at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/807177@N25/

If your "Share Online" is running on version 2, version 3 is kind of a great upgrade. You can now view your photostream and comments on your phone. Download at http://europe.nokia.com/A4388352

My ori N82 come with all screen protector (LCD, keypad, Back cover, top of back cover)
It seems a good quality screen protector, although with some label on the edge.
*
I peeled off those the moment I got the phone, ops. Anyone knows how to get rid of the "internet and my content search" thing on the standby screen? I am and will not be using it, and it takes up too much of space and when combined with my meetings and to-do, the entire wallpaper is covered by text.

How long a full charge will last on you guy's N82? Need to buy extra battery?

By the way, I think I have a reverse mode of the highlighting. It is suppose that when I hold the hash key and press left or right, the text will be highlighted. Instead, it highlights whenever I press the right or left key, and it won't highlight if I hold the hash key. Is there anything wrong with this? It only happens when I'm writing in a non-T9 mode. Kinda annoying.

Nevermind that already. Garmin is the culprit as reported - http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1305016
