Battery life only last 4 and a half hours?!
And i am thinking that it will at least last 2 days with a little shooting with the camera.
Can anybody kind enough to confirm the battery power of the N82?

for normal use it can last at least 1 and half day~~ max is around 2 days only~ if heavy user, probably 1 day~ if u keep wifi, listen music, play games, navigating, sure the battery drains very fast la~ within few hours sure need to recharge~ common sense =.=''

Some telco shops use it for display purpose, not for sale
Previously I tried to ask in KL Nokia shop (opened by authorised Nokia), they don't know what is DT-22
I bought it at MBK Bangkok around RM50. I think can be cheaper if bargain 9 9.
The upper portion can be used with normal standard tripod, just screw it in only as usual.

Sorry, don't have photo Anyway, it grip between the LCD and keypad area there (Nokia word), but it does cover up the lower left LCD a bit (5mmx10mm). Anyway, if you are using the tripod, most likely for taking pictures only. In fact, that is the recommended grip area, you can grip anywhere else you like, or even N95, etc.

N82 can support up to 32GB if im not mistaken

proven if very low usage of phone..can tahan around 3 days
music from full charge can play for 10 hours..max 11 hours (not sure but i think tat wan is in off9 mode)
gps, wifi, games..4 hours+-..

4 and a half hours is the talk time. Stand by up to 225 hours, that's what claimed by Nokia. Personally I charge once a day for a moderate use, quite a few pictures + Wifi + 15 minutes loudspeaker mp3 + fooling around with the phone. With lesser usage, it will last more than 1 and a half day. No worries at all if you can charge once a day (night time, unless you are camping whatsoever).

At least you will still be able to bring that phone back alive at the end of the day.

Unless you are taking timed photos frequently, I think it should be fine.

i always charge my phone once my batt goes down by 3-4 bars.
i dont like seeing my phone die the next day before even dinner

I charge when it goes to 2 bars. 3 bars sometimes when it's the beginning of the day. It's not cool to have the phone died when you are out or something.

first week u will be happy and felt battery life short, after that u wont be playing it every moment and battery life will be better

i change from n81 n i found tat n82 life spwan of battery are better den n81....i can use up to 2 day..

then change to n82 i keep playing camera and video recording and gps..... thats why battery drain fast hehe....

yes...if u dun have built-in receiver..then u have to use 3G/GPRS to loccate ur position...

i use n81 8gb with holux m-1000 working fine no extra charge~

but the GPS will not show all the locations.. like small towns or rural areas..

hi...i'm a new owner of a N82 as well.....still exploriong the phone...symbian is really new to me as i have been using a Nokia 2600 previously...so this is a big thing for me...haha...

btw, why is it when i want to use the dictionary, it says, "Dictionary word information missing. Install word database". I'm sorry if its a noobie ques, but i really know nothin bout it....

Meaning you have to install a word database first, I guess. I'm using a third MSDict, "ahem". Not a bad one after all, just Google.

Will show the position but u wont know the place u are if the map don have the name of the location~

I am using MSDICT with 17different database (got japan dict ). SlovoED with voice. Nokia Default dict, and another New nokia default dict.

i had that prob while in sungei besi / serdang at my friend's place.

nokia maps didnt show a road leading to my friend's place that was built there about 7yrs ago.

google maps even better, cannot even find route from my house in pj ss2 to my friend's place.
