10 Amazing Lessons from Albert Einstein:

1) Follow Your Curiosity
“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.”

What piques your curiosity? I am curious as to what causes one person to succeed while another person fails; this is why I’ve spent years studying success. What are you most curious about? The pursuit of your curiosity is the secret to your success.

2) Perseverance is Priceless
“It's not that I'm so smart; it's just that I stay with problems longer.”[/COLOR]

Through perseverance the turtle reached the ark. Are you willing to persevere until you get to your intended destination? They say the entire value of the postage stamp consist in its ability to stick to something until it gets there. Be like the postage stamp; finish the race that you’ve started!

3) Focus on the Present
“Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.”

My father always says you cannot ride two horses at the same time. I like to say, you can do anything, but not everything. Learn to be present where you are; give your all to whatever you’re currently doing.
Focused energy is power, and it’s the difference between success and failure.

4) The Imagination is Powerful
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions. Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

Are you using your imagination daily? Einstein said the imagination is more important than knowledge! Your imagination pre-plays your future. Einstein went on to say, “The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination.” Are you exercising your “imagination muscles” daily, don’t let something as powerful as your imagination lie dormant.

5) Make Mistakes
“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.”

Never be afraid of making a mistake. A mistake is not a failure. Mistakes can make you better, smarter and faster, if you utilize them properly. Discover the power of making mistakes. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, if you want to succeed, triple the amount of mistakes that you make.

6) Live in the Moment
“I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.”

The only way to properly address your future is to be as present as possible “in the present.”
You cannot “presently” change yesterday or tomorrow, so it’s of supreme importance that you dedicate all of your efforts to “right now.” It’s the only time that matters, it’s the only time there is.

7) Create Value
“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

Don’t waste your time trying to be successful, spend your time creating value. If you’re valuable, then you will attract success.
Discover the talents and gifts that you possess, learn how to offer those talents and gifts in a way that most benefits others.
Labor to be valuable and success will chase you down.

8) Don’t Expect Different Results
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

You can’t keep doing the same thing everyday and expect different results. In other words, you can’t keep doing the same workout routine and expect to look differently.
In order for your life to change, you must change, to the degree that you change your actions and your thinking is to the degree that your life will change.

9) Knowledge Comes From Experience
“Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience.”

Knowledge comes from experience. You can discuss a task, but discussion will only give you a philosophical understanding of it; you must experience the task first hand to “know it.” What’s the lesson? Get experience! Don’t spend your time hiding behind speculative information, go out there and do it, and you will have gained priceless knowledge.

10) Learn the Rules and Then Play Better
“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”

To put it all in simple terms, there are two things that you must do. The first thing you must do is to learn the rules of the game that you’re playing. It doesn’t sound exciting, but it’s vital. Secondly, you must commit to play the game better than anyone else. If you can do these two things, success will be yours!

place to be aware of: Bangsar Mcdonald

gosh. i never thought that something like this would happen to me but i was being too optimistic.

here it goes:

I was putting my bag at the chair opposite to me and i was concentrating in doing assignment in Bangsar Mcdonald. then there was an old malay man approached me and told me that i dropped money on the floor. I looked down to the floor at the back of my chair and he even patted my bf's shoulder to ask him to check around the floor as well.

I did not notice anything wrong by then but after that when i wanted to look for my bag. it is gone! I guess the old man has some companions or whoever to steal my bag. he was in charge of distracting us so that the other person can snatch our things away.

end up i have to make police reports and nothing can be done to find my lost items. sigh. lesson learnt with heart broken. so many memorable things inside the bag. gosh. i might sound bad but i really curse the person/people who steal my bag.

gosh... it happened only today. so please please be more careful when u r in Bangsar Mcdonald. they can even do it in front of many people. that time was even peak hours. @@

sob sob.

My car window was smashed in broad day light while I was having lunch and my car was parked opposite the place I was eating. This happened in taipan, usj, Subang jaya. I ran after the guy who smashed away my car window but he manage to get away using a hinda city car. I took down the number and made a police report but the car they guy was driving was stolen. At the end of the day, I was the one who lost because I had to pay for my busted window. What's the use of lodging a report when the authorities don't do anything about it? Snatch thieves and burglars are getting more and more brave because they know for sure that our higher authorities are not going to take any actions. More petrol cars and policemen should be placed in this kind of places but you can see them in the mamak lepaking there!

What is happening to this country? Crimes rates are escalating by the day. What are the politicians we voted and entrusted with doing for us Malaysians? We, the taxpayers are paying the salaries of the police force and what are they doing to protect us from these criminals? mad.gif

On November 8, 2010, a group of youths were playing basketball at the USJ 4/1K playground at 6.45pm; 4 Malay males with parang came in 2 cars - a Blueish-green Proton Waja WKU323 and another a light green Honda CRV WGA9327 threatened the youths with parang and robbed them just before sundown.

Imagine our youths could not even have an outdoor games with friends within their own residential playground without the threat of being robbed or kidnapped. sweat.gif

Obviously Chananya has no idea what is the meaning of virtue and love. A typical example of a pessimistic, a self-defeating, 3rd-world, poor man's philosophy.

This evening my car was broken into. The thief thought that the bag containing my baby's clothes/supplies had valuable items in it. Bag was placed in the floor, never thought it would happen while we were attending a religious ceremony. Good thing no valuables were present in the car. Damage was only to the rear glass door.

Thieves are everywhere...always be careful.

 傍晚,一只羊独自在山坡上玩,突然从树木中窜出一只狼来,要吃羊,羊跳起来,拼命用角抵抗,并大声向朋友们求救。

  牛在树丛中向这个地方望了一眼,发现是狼,跑走了;

  马低头一看,发现是狼,一溜烟跑了;

  驴停下脚步,发现是狼,悄悄溜下山坡;

  猪经过这里,发现是狼,冲下山坡;

robbery and criminals occur very often. people do the living to find peace, however during this calmness crimes can happen anytime.

also agreed that people need to be careful. sometimes ghosts are less scarier than staying alone when crime rates high

This guy (black) has successfully steal things from roof entering and
he has been caught by police and sit jail for 6 month.

Now after 6 month, he try to steal again on next house. I suspect this same guy trying to coming in from roof to enter my hometown house.

The last week, our neighbors house get enter from roof, 2 laptop, 2 hp & some cash was gone. The police reports (including the other neighbors) has been made before. But no action taken by police, cause of no prove/evidence. Every times my mum will feel this guy will show up on 8 p.m. at our roof to drill the roof. But when we rushes outside to see is there anyone on the roof or not, the person no longer there. The next days we called roof technician to see is there any hole or else and Yes.. the roof have been drill by some human work. My dad need paid rm 2500.00 to mix the roof.

But this guy still keep coming to the roof and yet he didnt scare been caught and hits by the neighbors. It happen in Manjung/Sitiawan

Please be careful when you're alone or your house without any person. Ensure your door house is lock before you go out/inside the house. smile.gif

QUOTE(Baronic @ Feb 4 2009, 12:12 AM)
anyone else who had a similar experience also, dun take it for granted, please make a police report, so that they note that the crime rate in the area increase. At least there's a chance some actions would be taken
