Just heard this story from my friend in Penang. Happened last night.
Couple (40+) shopping at Queen's Bay Mall. Someone came from behind and grabbed the man's leg, while his accomplice snatched the man's wallet from his back pocket. Happened really fast and no one managed to stop the thieves. Couple reported to security that the thieves looked like Malays, but the salesgirl and cashier said that they were not Malays but Bangladeshis or Arabs. |

The older saints who trust God’s Word
Have trod where younger ones now walk, They’ve fought the battles they will fight, Their wisdom teaches truth and right, The little ones who turn away from God's Word, Have fallen and lost their way, They run for the glory but not the race, Their knowledge is as shallow as the river, But when the little ones found the truth, Wisdom will be given unto them, They will be strong, Standing and picking up themselves after every fall, Everyone's faith is small, But by trusting God, You can stand firmly on the ground, While your hands reach out for the stars PS : First stanza is written by a guy(dont know his name), the continuation I wrote it. |

Smashing car windows are getting too common nowadays. Not too long ago, a lady friend of mine was caught in a traffic jam along Sprint Highway somewhere between Shell and Eastin Hotel at about 8pm, two motorbike thieves used a crash helmet to break the passenger side window because they saw her handbag left on the passenger seat. Lucky for her the thieves tried in vain to break her tempered glass window. She honk and honk but other motorists ignored her, maybe because it was too dark and they could not see what was going on. |

For the past month, there were at least 10 break-in cases in Cheras Taman Desa Aman, and 3 car theft reports.
I think this area has become one of the worst in Cheras This post has been edited by limpe88: Aug 9 2010, 05:29 PM |

I just received this forwarded email from someone working in a lawyer's office and was asked
to circulate it to as many people as possible. PUSH-POCKET IN KUALA LUMPUR I am sure you all have heard of 'pick pocket'. A new trend 'push pocket'. Read on... for your own good A few days ago a new type of crime has surfaced in town. It goes something like this:- Somebody slips a hand-phone into your pocket, sometimes it could be just a wallet with an identity card and a few ringgit. A few minutes later, the 'owner' comes up and confronts you, the 'thief '. He makes a big commotion that you stole his stuff. You, caught unaware, are then pulled aside by the 'owner' for a settlement. You are intimidated and threatened that if you do not pay up the police will be brought in. If you pay up, this 'owner' lets you go.. If not, the police are brought in. Another strange thing is that there always seems to be a 'witness' to your 'theft'. I am told this often happens to foreigners at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or even at LRT trains. Given that you're 'guilty until proven innocent' as far as the Malaysian police are concerned, I understand some poor people are in jail for these 'offences'. At the KLIA, the 'owner' throws his hand-phone and wallet with the few ringgit notes into the luggage trolley of a just arrived passenger. The drama unfolds a few minutes later. The real culprit has easily convinced our Malaysian police to arrest the real victim (if he has not paid up the 'settlement' demand). This is a very serious matter. This is another form of extortionists operating in broad daylight. They are disgusting criminals who will do anything to rob and steal. The sickening part of the whole scenario is that unless you pay the 'quoted settlement' money, they will put you in real trouble by calling the police.. The real culprit gets back his hand-phone and wallet but the real victim ( i.e. could be any one of us) is thrown into the police lock up and charged in court. So do be very careful, otherwise you may end up as a 'thief' as you have no way to prove your innocence.. |

this story is about COPS pestering innocent citizens
i was on my way to a photo-copy shop on my bike, and two plain clothes cops on bikes stopped me.one of them said"PERGI MANA???",i said "pergi kedai" in a civilized and polite manner, he responded with a sarcastic"YAKAH?????". he said "ada HISAP GAM ka?",i almost laughed out,i just said no. this young eager-beaver was no older than 25,the older cop just sat on his bike, smoking. The young cop said"SAYA TENGOK LU PUNYA STYLE,SAYA TAU MESTI ADA HISAP",well,i was wearing a black Rock the world 8 shirt with shorts, riding a yamaha 125,and my helmet was custom sprayed black with racing stripes. i dint know f***in GUM sniffers had this "style". He then told me to empty my pockets and shit,i also opened my seat of my bike to let him see whats inside. AS expected,i had nothing on me! He looked real pissed, and he told me to let em see my IC, i asked him if i could go now as i was in a hurry,i had HOMEWORK TO DO at home, he said that he wanted to take me to the station for a goddamn URINE TEST,i dint even have nothing on me, i said NO as i dint have time for this bullshit. I was getting real pissed and it was getting dark,i said i really need to go now,the cop said"KALAU U TAK SALAH,KENAPA GELETAR(nervous)???",F#CK,i wasnt nervous,i was damn pissed, tats why my voice was kinda shaking. The young cop still kept saying tat i should go to the station for a urine test, even the older cop just said "BIAR DIA PERGI SAJA",this young s.o.b took my ic num and said he was going to check if i had any drug offence records in the police system,he added"KALAO ADA,LU JAGA SIKIT". that ArsHole, had he pushed me further,i would have called my dad,who is a cop,and HIGHER RANKED than these two losers who patrol the streets threatening innocent teens. Thinking back,i should have called my dad. Well, after about 20 minutes of bollocks, they let me go, i said "ARSHOLES"loudly as i left. WELL,the message of this story is that cops should go patrol and catch f***IN SNATCH THIEVES or MAT REMPITS,instead, they waste their time searching and threatening school going kids like me. I really wanted to say to them"SAYA MAU BELI GANJA PUN TAK TAU MAU PERGI MANA BELI!!!",really i dont even know where to get drugs even if i wanted to buy em,but i dint say that coz almost all MALAYSIAN COPS take offense EASILY!when they do,they give u a real pain in the ASS! |

My car got stolen yesterday. I believe it was done by illegal 'tow truckers'. Lately I've heard similar cases from my friends and relatives. Can I request for a thread specifically for tow trucks that lowyat.net forumers see on the road? I urge everyone to take a photo of the number plates of both the tow truck and the car being towed. It doesn't matter if the car being towed looks like just after an accident or looks normal. If the pictures of the tow truck are being posted here, I believe we can easily catch the illegal tow truckers. I heard that DB*L also does illegal tow trucking.
Dear forumers, please take a photo of the number plates of any tow truck and the car being towed in the forum, so that if anyone got their car stolen, they might just find the culprit from the photos contributed. Everyone here occasionally sees tow trucks on the road, but we don't know if they are actually stealing people's cars. Please do a part for the community, we are all drivers, we look after each other ok? Who knows, you might just be the next victim. We can do something about this. Thank you very much. |

QUOTE(Avex @ Feb 4 2009, 12:50 AM) idiot, if the crime is in progress and the victim happens to be you, you got chance to take out ur parang/crowbar ah? btw carrying weapons is illegal in malaysia exactly, don get excited bringing parang around. first that that could happen to you is getting stop by police, and a whole afternoon is the police station. the best way to deal with these bastar*s is to avoid getting yourself into such situations. walk with someone, the more the merrier (safer)but if the robbers really want to rob you, frankly speaking, u cant escape. all they need is more people and you are pretty much GGed. but that don happen every often so i wont worry much about that. if you really wanna bring a weapon.. i have a suggestion (i love weapons), you can bring a 'ninja stick' or a baton .. whatever you wanna call it. you might think that ' you cant draw it out in time la ...' Wrong, the ninja stick / baton can be easily drawn out and can can even perform a surprise attack when you take it out. its very easy and anyone will know how to do it. but of course, you need to anticipate the robber's approach. don go swinging that thing onto inoocent by passers hurrying home for dinner ... hehebtw .. you can conceal that weapon easily. you can buy a small one (night market) and put it in your pocket, YES, IN YOUR POCKET. don believe me ... try .. you can swing that weapon out from any position (unless you put that inside your shirt/pants/underwear, etc) best places would be your pocket and stick it in between your pants and your hip. * if you still cannot figure out how u can out that in your pocket and draw it out on time/performing an surprise attack, PM me i describe in detail This post has been edited by SneakyLeaky: Aug 18 2010, 01:19 PM |

Contemplating God's Master Plan
When I was a little girl, my mother used to embroider a great deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was embroidering. I told her that it looked like a mess from where I was. As from the underside I watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand, I complained to her that it sure looked messy from where I sat. She would smile at me, look down and gently say, "My daughter, you go about your playing for awhile, and when I am finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side." I would wonder why she was using dark threads along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from my view. A few minutes would pass and then I would hear Mother's voice say, "My daughter, come sit on my knee." This I did only to be surprised and thrilled to see a beautiful flower or a sunset. I could not believe it, because from underneath it looked so messy. Then Mother would say to me, "My daughter, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realize that there was a pre-drawn plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing." Many times through the years I have looked up to God in heaven and said, " What is going on here? What are you doing?" He has answered, "I am embroidering your life." I responded, "But it looks like a mess to me down here. It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can't they all be bright?" "My child, a powerful voice from above said, you go about your business of doing My business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and you will see the plan from My side." When contemplating God's Master Plan, we should be reminded that all we know is the fact that we dont know all. But we do know that in the end, everything is for good. It is just our lack of understanding that makes us perceive it otherwise. So when something challenging happens, look at it from this perspective that it is part of our growth, part of our healing, part of our reason for being here and part of the Divine Plan. Then smile! |
