* "All you can teach is understanding. The rest comes on its own."[24].

* "Truth is not a reward for good behaviour, nor a prize for passing some tests. It cannot be brought about. It is the primary, the unborn, the ancient source of all that is.
You are eligible because you are. You need not merit truth. It is your own. Just stop running away by running after. Stand still, be quiet [25]." - Interview with Sri
Nisargdatta Maharaj

* "My advice to you is very simple – just remember yourself, ‘I am’, it is enough to heal your mind and take you beyond, just have some trust. I don’t mislead you. Why
should I? Do I want anything from you? I wish you well – such is my nature. Why should I mislead you? Common sense too will tell you that to fulfill a desire you must
keep your mind on it. If you want to know your true nature, you must have yourself in mind all the time, until the secret of your being stands revealed [26]." - I Am That

* "There is only life, there is nobody who lives a life." - I Am That pp. 43

* "A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in
the mind. In the light of calm and steady self-awareness inner energies wake up and work miracles without effort on your part."

* "There is nothing to practice. To know yourself, be yourself. To be yourself, stop imagining yourself to be this or that. Just be. Let your true nature emerge. Don't disturb
your mind with seeking [27]."

* "When I see I am nothing, that is wisdom. When I see I am everything, that is love. My life is a movement between these two."

* "The search for Reality is the most dangerous of all undertakings, for it destroys the world in which you live."

Thanks nomen! After following your pointed thread I went to wiki the 'Mat Rempit'. Guess what? There was a write-up on them! I'll definitely steer clear from them.

Your are welcome DanceToTheBeat!

This is the definition of Mat Rempit I found in Wikipedia.
A Mat Rempit is a Malaysian term for "an individual who participates in illegal street racing", usually involving underbone motorcycles (colloquially known as Kapcai) or scooters. Not all Mat Rempits are involved in street racing; some of them perform crazy stunts for fun, such as the wheelie, superman (lying flat on the seat), wikang, and scorpion (standing on the seat with one leg during a wheelie).
Mat Rempits usually travel in groups and race in bustling city centres on weekend nights. In recent times, Mat Rempits have been linked to gangsterism, gang robbery, street fighting, assault, vandalism, theft and bullying. Most motorcycles used by the Mat Rempits do not meet standard specifications, or have been modified extensively for greater speed, or just to make the exhaust noisier.
Additionally, some Mat Rempits do not have valid motorcycle licenses, do not pay road taxes, and ride stolen motorcycles. A growing number of housing estates have also been turned into racing tracks. It is estimated that there are about 200,000 Mat Rempits in Malaysia.

I'm stuck in this horrid environment for nearly coming to 3 years now.
Yes all those years mind boggling problems and politics arises on ways I've never been prepared for.
Such selfishness and who are your true friends I learned from others hypocrite smile.

Yes can say I wasted my life here.
No matter what I do or cry blood I won't ever get a year back on my life.

Day by day I curse the decision why I chose to be here but due to unforeseen choice, I am stuck here.

But all is not lost, what I've been blinded by my anger is that I don't see the surroundings around me and how it has teaches me a lot these past years.

It took me a really painful morning after to realise this and thank god it's not too late.

I won't say it's a total waste but thanks to this, my life made a few and real friends and memories I would treasure forever.
Yes along the road I lost great friends by fate has took them away as it is time for them.
Shit happens and fate decides it no matter how much you don't want it to end

So friends, make the best of your time in this lifetime as it only comes once.
Don't give up and never let yourself get pulled down by anything.

Hope anyone who's reading this would get my message and never give up no matter how much life is kicking you down. smile.gif

I've encountered something similar a couple of months ago. Was heading towards Malacca with 3 of my friends when we decided to have lunch over at the Seremban rest station before resuming our journey. After lunch, we were heading back towards our car when a bunch of teenagers approached and offered us a bunch of N95's. We just ignored them and proceeded to our car. The bunch of them followed us and began swearing and shouting at us because we weren't entertaining them. This continued even after we got into the car. Thank God they did us no physical harm. Was pretty shaken. But it was a weekday when we went and the rest station then was pretty empty. My advice to those who travel : Try choosing a rest station with more people when you travel, especially during non peak hours. And be extra vigilant!

Do your part of a good citizen. Don't just post here. Call the police to inform them about the shady character lurking there selling 'stolen'' handphones. It's really mind boggling when you tell us to go there to look for our stolen handphones! ohmy.gif What kind of advice was that? shakehead.gif

As residents of Malaysia let us do our part when comes to this type of incident. Don't just walk away. Call the police! If you are afraid of being attacked by these scums then called the police after you have entered your car or a safe area where these thieves couldn't see you using the phone to call the police. Why just let them be and grouse about it only on the public forum?

Though my stay here was short but what I notice was people on the whole have a couldn't care less attitude. To them as long it doesn't happen to them personally then don't bother. Oh sure! I would definitely be attacked attack here for trying to be a hero and for talking ''cock'' but didn't that just reinforce my point that, majority who grouse, complain and verbally abusing another forumner for voicing out the right way to deal with such incidents were merely keyboard warriors!

Team Hoyt
QUOTE
Team Hoyt is a father (d*** Hoyt, born June 1, 1940[1]) and son (Rick Hoyt, born January 10, 1962) team from Holland, Massachusetts who have competed together in various athletic endeavors, including marathons and triathlons. Rick has cerebral palsy and during competition d*** pulls Rick in a special boat as they swim, carries him in a special seat in the front of a bicycle, and pushes him in a special wheelchair as they run.

Team Hoyt began in 1977 when Rick became inspired by an article on racing he saw in a magazine.[7] d*** Hoyt was not a runner and was nearly 37 years old. After their first race Rick said, “Dad, when I’m running, it feels like I’m not handicapped.” After their initial five mile run, d*** began running every day with a bag of cement in the wheelchair because Rick was at school and studying, unable to train with him.”[2] As of February 2008, the Hoyts had competed in 958 endurance events, including 65 marathons and six Ironman triathlons.[5] They had run the Boston Marathon 25 times.[8]

They also compete in triathlons with Rick sitting in a boat for the swim portion, d*** pulls him in a boat with a rope attached to his body. Then he pushes Rick for the run.[5] For the cycle portion of the triathlon, Rick rides on the front of a specially designed tandem bike.[3]
