Doubt yes or no to Celcom broadband due to coverage problem? No worries. Celcom had created a website for customers to check their area coverage on GPRS/3G/3GX(HSDPA)

Refer to http://202.190.116.141/CelcomCoverageIIPub...comCoverage.jsp (direct link) or
go to http://www.celcom.com.my/broadband click on Coverage Map

It depends on the package you take. If you take D68, then your connection stick to UMTS (3G) or GPRS. If you take D98, then your connection will go  to HSDPA, UMTS and GPRS, depends on the coverage. No fix.

but my modem always showing the hsdpa signal color...
furthermore, if my area has no hsdpa, even i take D98 also there wont hav hsdpa signal rite..

I've tested it, works fine. I think you need to install some flash thingy but I'm not sure what the exact software for it. Maybe Java?

Speed depends on the IP itself. Set in your mind that we using SHARED IP, so that's why during speedtest, the 'person' mark located at different location.

I just went to ask bout Celcom Broadband today... da salesgirl keep promoting the Huawei modem... i think it's E226 since she said can support 7.2Mbps HSDPA. But it costs RM 699 + free mouse!! Without mouse also RM 601... after talking for a long time I only ask her 1 question: Is this compulsory?
Then she said 'no but... blah blah blah'

the connection is back to normal now. But I didn't touch anything to my handphone/laptop. Looks like the upgrading process is an-everyday-progress for Celcom 3G service.

Your bill stopped whenever you successfully terminated. Pro-rate applies, no charges after terminated.
