Anyone using PPS(Polarised Paint Protection System) Teflon coating??

I saw the product on their web, RM350 per bottle, abit expensive.

Is it better than KlasseSG, Zaino Clear Seal..?in terms of shine and protection..

Guy.. I need some help here.. This is the step I done..

1) Wash car (Using a japan brand 2 in 1)
2) Rinse water
3) Dry it, apply rain X on all the window and start claying process by spraying water on car body and on the clay (courtesy to Kevin) (perma glass brand)
4) Wash the car again.
5) Wax (Waxco metallic wax)
6) Clean the wax with

use micro fiber towel as well..

Is this way correct? Or any suggestion that will improve? izit I should polish it before wax? And at when the scratchX only can apply? i like my car look shining..

here is some picture of my car which clean yesterday.

proper way is

wash -> clay(soft99 clay/ permaglass clay) -> cleaner wax(soft99 metaclean/meguairs DC1) -> polish(meguairs DC2) -> sealant(any sealant) -> wax(carbauna wax which doesn't contain cleaners)

rainx supposed to be the last step

scratchx is not to be use on the whole car but patches where got deep scratches only, but if you wan you can use it in polish step but u gonna brake ya hand apart. whistling.gif

nice job anyway..

Sealant seals the paintwork and makes stuff like bird poo hard to stick (just rinse with water from normal unpressurised garden tap at midnight (*higher pressure than daytime), it all comes off easily). This sealant stuff need to polish out to remove. It gives longer protection than the consumer waxes u can buy in kedai abang/supermarket. You want more info on sealant can contact albert (pro detailers), I sealed up my car there.

I see.
No wonder seldom people go for PPS nowadays, it is marketing hype.

I still prefer the old tradition method, polish and wax..Everytime i pass by the detailing center, the oily and shiny wax-ed lookalike is eye candy, especially on dark colour cars...

the klasse that you are using is already good, the only problem with klasse is the waxing feeling kinda suck.

Added on January 20, 2008, 3:51 pmBought the Zaino stuff last week. The Z5-Pro, Z2-Pro and Z-CS(Clear Seal) are great stuff.

If this "Z" more durable than "Megs" and last for 2-3months(malaysia warm humidity weather), no weekly wax needed, the i'll switch to "Z" brand for LSP, last step product.

Well, the steps above works very well for me.
Wash->Clay->DC1 Cleaner->Polish(i skip this step because mine is silver, light color car)->Deep wash and rinse again-->2-3coats..layering with sealant. done

The DC2 polish is safe to use as often as u like, it contains no abrassive cleaner..it is the polish oil that makes the car looks shiny.

If got time..i do these steps..*warning*it might harmful to the paint..ekekke
For dark color car...
Wash-->Clay-->DC1 Paint cleaner-->ScratchX to remove some swirls and bird shit etching-->Deep wash n rinse again-->sealant(Megs M21) + M16 wax..Nowadays I skip the polish step using DC2 polish....the M21 ..and M16 already makes the dark paint looks good.
Trim and tyres, using tire gel(Endurance gold class)...black plastic using some vinyl protectant oil..eg: armol all oil...or nxt tech protect..

Dudes, just want to ask. Went to CARS last week to give my car a wash and that fella persuaded me to do a "3-step" polish that can revive the color of my car. He did a small patch and indeed really its very glossy and the paint looks very smooth.

So I didnt join and decide to try myself.
However.,. here are the steps that I took
Wash->Clay->step1 (meguire paint cleaning)->Turtle Wax Platinum wax.

After all that I compared to the patch that CARS did.. its not as smooth.. it has those small little speckle of dust/dirt/etc.

How Can I get that smooth mirror-coat effect? Am I missing a rubbing compound step?

He claims my paint is already "dead" and that the 3-step polish from them can revive the color and gloss.

So far, from the instructions behind the Meguire '3step' bottle
Wash->
Clay->
Meguire Paint cleaner (step1) ->
Meguire Paint Polish (step2) ->
Meguire Carnauba Wax (step3)->
Constant maintenance

Anyway, I saw Meguire Gold classic wax something, what is it for? Which step is it?

Then you'll pengsan also when you get to use AutoGlym's EGP. Smells like ridsect/shieldtox too biggrin.gif

Yeah, especially DC3, smells not bad tongue.gif
*
double that up with Autoglym's Body Shampoo and Conditioner (BSC)1
double pengsan, smells like rotten egg in concentrated form

just went through a basic process
wash with BSC -> clay -> turtlewax swirl and scratch remover on scratches and bad swirl areas -> Autoglym Super Resin Polish (SRP) -> EGP

about 5 hours in total
will do a wash and do up the trim and glass before CNY
