how often do u send for polish? any recommendation? every 6 mths?
*
When my car's body got scratch here and there I go lor. Now only got 2 minor scratches tongue.gif Most detailers prefer to polish once every 6 months. Once a year also can thumbup.gif

QUOTE(lonewolf @ May 26 2006, 10:15 AM)
some recommend every six month, but it still depends on the surface condition. If u do maintain ya car like waxing every month at least twice, park under shade most of the time..you only need to do the polishing one a year. Remember, polishing will make ya paint thinner, so too much is bad for the paint.

Most of the forummers here DIY during the freetime, its a good body workout.

Yeah...polish can make the clear coat thinner. But, try to avoid high grade polish lor. Like those 4B ones sweat.gif Use a softer polish first...soft to your clear coat that is wink.gif

Try polishing smile.gif If you see got some bird poo on the body of your car, terus wipe or clean it off. It will bond with the clear coat sweat.gif Dun leave the bird poo on the car for more than a week wink.gif

Yeah...better to clean it off as fast as possible. I mean 1 week is the last resort la. Still can save the paint tongue.gif Not many people care about bird poo. They think it's nothing sweat.gif

bird poo is really corrosive man. dun play play ar....
dat day after rain stop, i drove my car & had to go thru those kampung road where they where construting to widen the road. so of cos very dirty la with all the earth works going on. my car white somemore. after tht reach home, my car had all those water with earth work(red or brown color), so i just did a simply rinse to get rid of it. cannot wait for it to dry cos it will etched onto the clear coat. true enuf after a week, i only realise there were water marks at some spots all over the car. brown in color. normal washing also wun come off but Claying did the job.* thumbs*

Leng lui ... if polish oso can't means ur scratch quite deep d so no point polish oredi coz it'll oni make ur paint thinner ... either live with it or get it re-sprayed ...

Bird poo ... once u got it on ur car ... immediately get out and wipe it off wif at least a wet tissue or sumthing ... NEVER leave it overnight!!

Avoid parking under Mango trees as well ... the sap will leave souvenirs for u too ...

Claying basically removes those tough grimes on ur car eg: water mark, tar, bonded dirt with wax etc ...

After wash oni u clay den wash den polish den wax den wax n wax tongue.gif ... most is 3 layers lo wink.gif

if u can't tahan do urself ... get ur bf to do it for u ... if no bf u can alwiz fish 1 here laugh.gif ... if ur not into guys den can pay some detailers to do it for u lo laugh.gif
