Thanks KC, looks like between application time is fairly similar to the gold class from sleepwalker's experience. I bet I can get away with 4 months in between with proper washing and QD. I'll look at buying one or the other in the next few weeks.

Thanks all.

hi guys,
my bro's naza ria headlight has turned to yellow. I have tried using Soft 99 polish and also tooth paste but its still yellowish (the tooth paste did help slightly). I was thinking wet sanding it, but I am a bit worried I might end up spoiling the headlight.

I tried NXT 2.0 with Ultimate Quik Detailer already. While it's not as reflective or easy to apply as ICE, it seems to attract much less dust. And it sheets water better too.

i want to ask, can i use normal glass cleaner that i use to clean windows and glasses to clean the car window and windshield? any harm?
*
believe it or not, the best materials to clean windscreen/windows is by spitting on piece of newspaper. I guess the carbon somehow reacts with the saliva and the mirror. It's best if you spit it first in the morning before brushing your teeth..hehe just kidding!

Added on March 20, 2010, 5:10 amFor those of you using the NXT 2.0, did you use the liquid, paste or spray? Any difference in durability?

Thanks.

Guys, How do you detail beige leather?

My car has beige leather seats and after a couple of uses, it turned black.
I used meguire's gold class leather cleaner. While it worked wonders, the stubborn stains still remained. Im just worried it might be "etched" into the leather.

Any method that i can "scrub" it out?

Man i hate light colored interiors.

Now you have me worried. I have light gray leather. Am planning to just wipe and condition it with some regular Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner. Is that not helping at all? I remember wiping my driver seat with a damp cloth and the 'blackish' stains seem to come off easily.

I even left the solution to 'soak' on the seat for a few moments. but doesn't work too.

another annoying stain is blue-jeans colour transfer. doh.gif

Problem is, if I leave the beaded rain water on my black car, I'll get some stains the next morning. Is it called water spots?

You guys must be using some really crappy wax to have it washed out in one rain session. First of all, wax is water-repellent and no rain will wash it off. Usually it is the process of the car wash with bad shampoo that does that.

Secondly, you should not be using quick detailing before the wax. It should the finishing layer and not medium. You want the wax to bond to the paint and finish off with the quick detailing.

Lastly, what kind of carnauba wax are you using? Some really pure carnauba wax takes hours to dry before waxing off. Karate Kid style 'wax on wax off' may not give it enough time to bond to the paint.
