Cost me rmb80. It fits perfectly. Even looks like it came from the factory just like that. Only prob is slight vignetting when zooming. Hafta do a simple mod on the inside of the flaps to make it open wider when I get home. It shud be excellent coz it also acts like a hood n big aperture lenses sure needs all the help it can with flare. Any of u guys experienced flare at f2 with the LX3 yet?

Wheeeeeeeeeeee. Got it from the big cam shop in Shanghai yesterday. Absolutely looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it. I just hafta wait till I get home to KL so I can mod it a lil bit to make it open up more at 60mm.

fit on sigma dp1 as well
That fella so stupid 1. Yes the LC1 is bayonet mount but it's soft plastic bayonet. The LX3 filter ring is metal so if u just screw it on, the metal will naturally cut the grooves into the LC1 n it fits perfectly. How on earth is the plastic gonna be able to strip the metal filter ring? That dpreview fella really dunno anything about DIY at all.

so sad.... majority of all camera shop has no stock for LX3... I'm going to vacation end of this month...without a camera how???/
help help
Go n buy the camera at ur destination lar. What better way than to start ur vacation by going shopping. That's what I did over here in Shanghai. Hehehe. There's plenty of stocks everywhere.
Which SD card are you guys using with this camera? I feel like getting the camera with the SD card so I can negotiate for cheaper price.
Buy the 32gb card so u can use the video mode n not worry about capacity. The video mode is very nice n I've used it a lot over here. Only prob is the files r massive so a 32gb card will b really nice. I'll be getting the 32gb card when I come back to KL. Here they oni carry up to 16b, no syiok. Must buy the biggest card I can find. hehe
How much is it in Malaysia? WTH In ebay aus it's 90 AUD (Sandisk Extreme 3 8GB) O_O
What's with the Panasonic Memory cards? It's so freaking expensive.
Compact cams nonid to buy hi speed performance cards ler. Even a lot of SLR users dont go to that extent coz u oni need the speed when doing high FPS bursting. Even then, SLRs like my 40D have a 70 frame buffer so even if I continue bursting at 6.5FPS it will never slow down due to slow card. There's no advantage n no point in using hi speed card for compact cam.

So what class of SDHCs do you recommend ?
How about viewing photos? Does faster SD cards help?
Guys need to ask.. are you guys using mini tripod for your LX3? My mini tripod broke into two already.. Haha! Wondering if u guys got any recommendation for a mini tripod under RM100?
