I am aware that LX3 come with a joystick that control the menu navigation...
I had have a nightmare with small joystick (sony ericsson k750i.... totally drove me insane!)...
Is that a good joystick? anyone have any problem with it yet? any slow response behavior?

thanks!

Hi kevin7ae,

Nice photos you got here. Where did you learn your photography?
*
I didnt actually learn... I did go through all the technical jargons like.. aperture, shutter speed, iso, white balance........
keep searching information from google... and then flickr is my favorite place to learn compositions, object to take....

i have taken around 300-400 photos, and those 20-30 photos are those I particularly like...
for sure.. a lot of bad photos.. : )

the first pic a bit underexposed huh? : )...

and today i took pic with a small chick (yes, chick, not girl.. chick)..
and it was really hard... the room was dim, and the chick moving its head so fast and keeping running around...
i was using manual... and trying to make some bokeh effect with macro shoot... so i had to face the camera 1cm to the chick...
and the chick jump on the top of my camera!!! phew.. fortunately it didnt peck on the len...

but then we moved it to living room, which is brighter... and someone holding it...
it was something new... good fun...

will upload those photo soon..

So it means there is no one here in Malaysia selling this stuff?.
Cheers

How do you find the quality of these items, especially the Filters?.
Cheers

yea, ebay is a good stuff! shipping will be cheaper too from hk to msia..

the build quality is excellent, metal/aluminium... I have just got it and haven't really tested it...
new to filters as well...
will try it in the city, take some building photos... and will tell ya...

Huh? cheaper to buy in hk? how bout in s'pore?

Added on October 27, 2008, 6:58 pmCompare to sony A350, is this worth to get than that? because i hope to get a dslr to take nice pictures...
*
yea.. i think hk is pretty cheap..

before I bought lx3, I was thinking about dslr... but, it's too hassle to bring it around, it's big and heavy... and lens are so expensive...
no doubt, the lowest end dslr's capability is definitely better than any compacts dc lo...
at first, I was a quite disappointed when I got to know lx3 can't achieve bokeh effect (with people not macro)...
but, you know, nothing is perfect... after play with it for a while.. lx3 aint a normal point and shoot camera..!

yes.. get the filter package.. and u will get the panasonic's adaptor 52mm + a lens cap (that lens cap can't attach a string though)...

I can't wait to test it.. but i have to work.. : ( will tell u if it's worth buying...
reading about polarizer and filter usage... haha... wanna know more before using it...

my reading:
http://www.great-landscape-photography.com...ing-filter.html
http://www.colorado.edu/physics/2000/polar...rizationII.html
http://www.shooter.net/index.php/Item/using-a-polarizer/

apparently, we need to rotate the filter to adjust the right angle to get the most out of the PL filter... hmm.. interesting!
and the "handgun" hand symbol to find the right sun direction is kinda cool...
