can anyone dload the maxis logo zip file? i'm still having the same problem...

Hi,

iPhone 3G updated to firmward 2.2.1, ipcc method failed.

I then copied manually and overwrite the following

/private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles

and overwrite both the directory and then reboot and it works.

I overwrite the following :

Click on the short for 50212 it will bring you to the system folder somewhere then copy the following file


carrier.plist
Default_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
FSO_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
info.plist


MYMAXIS.bundle

carrier.plist
Default_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
FSO_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
info.plist

Basically I just copied everything from the download to the respective and overwrite it. Of cause i made a backup copy first.

I also notice just now that after you do the patch, iTune would prompt you that a new carrier settings is available for update and when you do the update it would revert back to the old BORING MAXIS logo.

may i know wat about celcom?
i hv tried many times press shirt key + click the update, there is nothing for me.May i know iphone must be version 2.2.1?
PLS help, i download celcom folder inside only hv one file.

what is the error message you get? don't u get a file selection window after you clikc shift + update key?

Its easy to custom made your own carrier logo too..

how to make custom logo, pls?

Tried few times but failed...
Mine celcom...
There are 2 folders in the zip file..
1. _MACOSX
2. MYCELCOM

Both files contain the 50219 & MYCELCOM.bundle....

Tried oredi paste both folders either from file 1. & the file 2.
But both after respring fail...

but my problem is, i cannot open the files that i download....end up, i keep getting this error...

"Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.

For those who still cant make it work, i made a cydia repo and you can install from cydia.

In cydia, add source: http://apt.jailbreakipod.info
install the 'Malaysia Telco' from the source. Do not install the 'inavgreen' theme from the source, because it is for ipod touch(and not complete yet).

This package include Telco Carrier Logo for DIGI, MAXIS, and CELCOM only. For Hotlink and Digi Fuyoh, i'll create another package for them.

can possible use other operator?
lets say u use maxis icon now, after later change to celcom got any problem?

thx.working well after restart. but i have 2 questions.
1)if change other telco simcard, do the logo change as well?
2)when i open "Photos" or "Notes", the logo greyed, is that normal?

can i change frm maxis logo to hotlink, i tried many times to copy hotlink files to folder as u stated bfore. but nothing happen.

Guys,

After shift+check for updates in itunes.
It's asking for a .ipcc file which is not in the MYMAXIS.bundle and 50212 folders that I dled from here.

So where is the ipcc file located?

Download the ipcc file from the first post if you have not notice it earlier.
