Hi,

iPhone 3G updated to firmward 2.2.1, ipcc method failed.

I then copied manually and overwrite the following

/private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles

and overwrite both the directory and then reboot and it works.

I overwrite the following :

Click on the short for 50212 it will bring you to the system folder somewhere then copy the following file


carrier.plist
Default_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
FSO_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
info.plist


MYMAXIS.bundle

carrier.plist
Default_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
FSO_CARRIER_MYMAXIS.png
info.plist

Basically I just copied everything from the download to the respective and overwrite it. Of cause i made a backup copy first.

I also notice just now that after you do the patch, iTune would prompt you that a new carrier settings is available for update and when you do the update it would revert back to the old BORING MAXIS logo.
