You may need to redownload the MYMAXIS.zip file again if your downloaded file is corrupted. When you unzip, you will see a 50212 folder with the MYMAXIS.bundle

then copy to the iPhone dir as gengstapo mentioned.

Restart your phone.

You can try using i-funbox as they have updated it to work with fw 2.1 and you're able to see the root folders without JB. Have not tried it but worth a try.

Sorry mate. Read that the only way to access the root folder is thru JB method.

Cheers

I don't know why when I click on the maxis download links I end up with an index.php file.

Added on November 1, 2008, 10:39 amReading back the thread, seems like there are reliability problems when the files are hosted on LYN. Would someone be so kind to upload it to rapidshare or equivalent?

Is usually in System/Library/Carrier Bundles. Have a look and see if the folders are there.

The 50212 folder does not come with the iPhone. You do not need to create the folder. All you need is to manually place the 50212 folder(downloaded from first post) to the path required. Then reboot to see changes.

@davidgary

just a quick question, if i use a non maxis simcard it wont appear right?

*
I reackon so unless you place all the telco folders on first post in your iPhone. So when you change your simcard like Digi or Celcom, the icons will appear. Give it a try.

Guys,

After shift+check for updates in itunes.
It's asking for a .ipcc file which is not in the MYMAXIS.bundle and 50212 folders that I dled from here.

So where is the ipcc file located?
*
Download the ipcc file from the first post if you have not notice it earlier.

Cheers

You can always use the MYMAXIS.zip on the first post and place those folders to the right folders if your iPhone is jailbroken.

When you guys are saying paste folder....where's that folder?

Can i browse my iphone's folder? I can't seem to locate the Carrier Bundle folder

Can we copy this to iPhone using DiskAid?
*
Yes you can. Download the MYMAXIS.zip file on the first post. Select root folder(bottom left screen) in DiskAid and proceed to copy the MYMAXIS.bundle and 50212 folders to the directory as stated on the first post.

Look for this mate in Cydia: 6 iPhone 3.0 Icons. Do not activate it via Winterboard.

Go to the Librabry/Themes folder and copy the Messages icon out and rename it as biteSMS and place it in your current theme icon folder. Respring.

if u get the an unknown error 0xe8000051.
just extract the ipcc file using any unzip software and zip the payload folder back to zip file then rename the extension to ipcc then try restore again/ i think maybe its permission problem or wad on mac. Windows not sure.
*
I hve gotten that error and found that other unzip software does not work. Since you're on Mac, use Stuffit Expander. Don't use Achieve Utility etc software.

i'm using iP3GS.. i've followed the instructions but when it asked me to choose a file, i can't select any ipcc files.. it's not recognised..
*
You need to Enable Carrier Bundle Support in iTunes 8.2 if you can't see the ipcc file. Check the first post again.

HI David,

Just wandering, does this maxis ipcc solve the mms issues on i3gs ver3.01 as well ??  thanx
*
Sorry mate. I dont have i3GS. I can't comment on this matter. We will need to wait for a solution by forumers or TS to come up with a new ipcc file.

I followed the instructions by iclarified but when it comes to choosing the ipcc files there are none, i dont even have a folder named "iphone" in my program files. Do I have t download this file or what? Am on iphone 3gs firmware 3.0 (upgrading to 3.0.1 soon)
*
You as a Windows user, you should know better that the "iPhone" is just a folder as iClarified used it as a guide. You can create the folder and name it iPhone in your comp and place the ipcc file in it. Then launch iTunes and navigate to the "iPhone folder and select the ipcc file. Done.
