Err. SE P1i price has slight increment.

I checked with my housemate who is using SE W580i, no SMS ringing tone, just a soft alert tone..

512 memory only nvm la....since memory card not dat expansive these days....
and yea... 2year warranty

my previous phone also SE, and its sms tone n report tone diff (short default tone only) but for SE UIQ, the report tone is same as sms tone

Alamak, that is TOO frequent. I agree, you should backup your phone data and then reflash the firmware.

If the problem still persists after that, it is possible you have a dodgy unit and you might want to think of returning it to the place you bought it from and ask for a replacement unit.

Added on September 14, 2008, 8:03 amsquall_kay is right about the sms reply thingamajig; P1i treats the delivery report as a new SMS, so you maybe kena tipu by the sound when it comes in.

I've disabled my delivery reports also too annoying.

so the price is quite normal

Can I start off by asking if there is any difference between symbian software, s60 software and uiq 2 / 3 softwares?

Can P1i install all the above? (meaning they are cross compatible?)

My main query is regarding some symbian bible apps and also Garmin XT app.

For sure there is difference between symbian software, s60 software and uiq software. All this 3 platform are under same roof which called The Symbian Foundation. http://www.symbianfoundation.com/

As far as i know, P1i only support uiq 3.0...

check d green tint level of d camera. jz activate d camera. take a pic of a white paper under good lighting. haha. change d set if too heavily tinted.
