Bought Synology DS110J.
Really nice and smooth. Better than Thecus x1000 times.

Why in the first place you go and buy the tikus? Ain't here forumer told you synology have many happy user?

I bought tikus as my fren working there. His place no carry Synology product.
I have to go Lowyat to get Synology which is far from my house.

But really satisfied. A lot of functions.

Design looks cool. I just randomly searching for a NAS below RM500.
I just need for a simple shared storage with my family members.

Well, If you want a simple NAS, just get the china made NAS. The price is rm200. Samba, ftp and simple torrent should be no problem.

Brought a Synology DS409+.



Compare with my another old NAS synology DS107+


Temporaly use 1 HDD.


Want to mod the NAS to increase the memory


But fail to mod the memory. Cause the ram not compactible and the NAS cannot boot up. Got to find another type and brand of memory.


Now my NAS no more warranty liau.

Wow. Can mod ram want ar?
From the picture, it seems like notebood type memory.

It use sodimm notebook ram. Not all model can upgrade memory. Certain model only. One of my purpose to brought this model is it can mod the ram.

I cannot find the compactible ram here. So try and error. Still fail to boot up the nas. Got to find the ram outside malaysia.

How bout DS110J? Any success example?

The DS110J is solder on board ram. Can't change the ram.

If I not mistaken, those with + at the end number, is removeable ram.
