Hehe.. May end up free. Call him so many time to come collect money never come. Later i spend it will tell him no money to pay him already.

But yours is cheap because is very long. Mine conceal up to plaster ceiling than up to roof, and out to slab. Think maybe around 20ft for most. Only the Dining room are furthers, about 30ft.

Did he dismantle the unit out and wash everything? My usual A/C service fellow will take out the indoor unit wash clean clean including the blower. Think his charges are above 100++

I use this for the indoor unit DIY Cleaning.  Less dusty as the indoor unit is not dismantled.

I watch the movie, the fin are so clean, comparing to mine is 100x cleaner, I try many diy cleaning but can't really remove all the dirt out. Got to remove the indoor unit out and fully flush out the dirt. The DIY may work if it clean like once a month or regular.

Buying which model of air conditioner was an easy decision for me but currently having dificulty to find a good air conditioner contractor having good installation job. I find many air conditioner contractors are giving lousy service and not doing the installation according to SOP. Many contractors are hiring unqualified/uncertified technician(s) and they tend to do the job according to their "own pasar standard". When U tell them "Ur suppose to do it according to the manual as written", they will tell U "I'm been doing this for years and I haven't seen anything problem due to this". Most of them are "btc" which means nvr been to school for education.

I currently looking ard for a good reputable contractor who can do a good job. I don't mind paying so longs the quality of the job done is above  my satisfaction level. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The airconds will be installed with concealed trunking, this is the toughest part for me due to I have to find a contractor who can do a excellent job in both installation and concrete works. Headache  unsure.gif .
Aside frm different air conditioner output, typical inverter and conventional air conditioners are having dirrerent labout rate of installation charges since typical inverter air conditioners are using R410A refrigerent which is more expensive than R22 refrigerent and besides the copper pipings are different in dimension. U need to specific which type of air conditioner besides the output of it.
Above rates are for what air conditioner output? Inverter or conventional air conditioner?
R410A and R22 are different in price. Typical inverter air conditioners are running on R410A refrigerent. Why is the service charges the same between inverter and conventional air conditioner?
Unstable in terms of what?

Some time follow manual will not work. If I follow manual to install digital lock I won't get it install into my door already. Manual is good but experience is a must.

Are you planning to install them yourself after reading the horror stories about bad aircon installations. biggrin.gif
*
I won't. I am not that fussy. As long it don't move, not leak, nicely done, and cold I am good.

All A/C will be install by the contractor doing my a/c conceal piping. I got to buy first than he come do and collect the payment. hehe maybe if i don't ask him install the a/c he will not come collect payment biggrin.gif

Guys,

Just a reminder. For those of you using the TNB rebate vouchers, please ensure u negotiate & finalise the prices of your aircons/refrigerators before informing the shop about the vouchers. The vouchers are supposedly deducted from the purchase price so get that finalised before even informing them that you have the vouchers.

Hehe, Legend don't have that. Got 6 A/C from them, 4 are sharp 1hp, one 1.5 Panasonic inverter, and 2HP york.

I got my guy through my own negotiations. Right from the start (when i walked in) i have obtained good prices so you can do the same if u have the right negotiation skills.

And many LYN ppl have PM'd me asking for a contact and i have provided accordingly.
*
Cybermaster, I did not managed to contact the person you recommend but instead another one. Price are good too. Anyway i think Legend overall is good price.

I just got 7 fan from the person i deal with. They accept cheque, and send over to my house cause i brought so many things from him. Fan price are comparable to Top Ten, if worse it only RM 1 or 2 difference only.

Not same wiring.

You need minimal 4 wires.
1 - Live
1 - Neutral
1 - Ground
1 - Control signal
1 - Control Signal secondary.

Some need 5 wires. Best is get 5 wires. My Panasonic need 4 wires, when i ask for Sharp, it need 5 Wires.

So best put 5. And if possible use all Inverter copper piping future to change A/C is much easier. I did a mistake by saving only RM 500+-, Should have use all Inverter piping. 10 Years later maybe hard to get non inverter, and got to redo piping.
