Hi,

I am also considering this model with another few models for 1HP and 1.5HP. How much are you quoted?

Legend from Seri Petaling recommended RAS-S10CY because they said air con with bigger BTU saves more energy than inverter because it cools down the room faster. Inverter only works well if it is turned on for more than 8 hours. The price for RAS-S10CY is as expensive as the inverter model in fact.

Anyone using it right now?

I've just bought 2 units of Panasonic Envio for my house, 2HP with inverter & 1HP witout inverter, n the installation charges for an inverter unit costs more than a normal unit, also note guys, for AC with inverters it's adviced to hv thicker copper piping done (e.g8mm instead of normal 4mm), n of course it costs more!

just FYI cool2.gif

cheers

That is $$$. I was quoted 1200 including installation. Probably you can visit Legend in Seri Petaling. The 1.5HP is RM1580.

how abt TOSHIBA guys ??? i was considering panasonic envio (ioniser) model initially...after checking out with afew shops.....i was told that the warranty service provided DIECTRLY with panasonic msia can be a pain in the ass (not too sure what this means, perhaps on the response time and actual fixing )

n the most intriguing part is that the parts are made in CHINA n being sent down to shah alam for assembling....not to say its no good....but i was also told nowadays the motor is loud n noisy for a panasonic ??

anyways...toshiba daiseikai seems better ? anybody using this ? planning to get 3 of them biggrin.gif

Don't have much problem with Panasonic air-con, in fact it is queiter than previous Toshiba (before replacing at my place).

Fyi, almost every electrical/electronic part (whatever brand, even Dell LCD I am getting lately) is made in China now.

Warranty issue, never encounter before so no comment, or it is good we don't need to deal with as it means thing working ok.

Not mean to say Panasonic is good or not, just posting experience.

Nowadays, there are so many brand to choose for air-con...  rclxub.gif
e.g. LG, Electrolux, Haier, Bosch, Toshiba, Hitachi, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, York

Which brand do you recommend?
Preferably a durable and long lasting air-con... oh yeah, and also affordable...

Lets discuss...

choose those brands that have the inverter one which can save energy, i think is Panasonic. my friend buy it and it save up his electric bills by some few ten ringgits or if heavy use it can save hundred of ringgits.

But Hitachi DC Invertor needs larger copper pipping and wiring as well right? It is the same as Panasonic. So far, I think only Daikin inverter is still using the normal pipping. Anyone know how cost effective is the Daikin Inverter?

I am now considering between the Daikin Inverter model and Hitachi RAS-S10CY model (has bigger BTU, cooling the room faster, hence more cost effective??). Anyone install both the model before brows.gif

I m using panasonic envio 1.5hp inverter. It need bigger piping and CFC free gas. But no probelm for me since it has an advantage. It comfirm save my electrical bill. Before that using panasonic 1hp and average RM90+ - RM100+ electrical bill. Now average RM60+ - RM70+.
For max save, you much set it everything in auto and cold it at 25c. Colder outside weather will save more.
