I may be wrong but I think that filter uses R.O. and if is does, it's bad for health. So what good can a product be if it's bad for health? Want to die faster, better jump off the building. Cheaper also.

Anyone ever use Coway Water Dispenser Petit? I read from a few blogs got good feedbacks. I'm lazy to boil water for drinking.

thanks for your comment bro, waited for long time for puregen feedback, it seems to be troublesome if we need to backwash for every few days.. did you contact puregen to figure out this problem? as they claimed comes with warranty for 10 years rite?

Personally, I would avoid any filter that requires water discharge because it means it's using Reverse Osmosis to filter water. Do a 'google' and you will find plenty of article saying RO water (also called De-mineralized water) are bad for health. There is even a World Health Organization article saying the same thing. So why  take the risk to damage your health?
*
Does that mean all filter that requires water discharge is RO including those alkaline water type? blink.gif

go make your own.. there is no cheap good and reliable..

prices usually go up when its good and reliable..

easy to maintain is the 3m one just change the whole cartridge/filter every year smile.gif

well, I'm having the Perfect Steel for past one month, even it should having backwash every month, but I just backwash almost every 2 - 3 days for my car porch area.
But the water out from the backwash are damn dirty and need to let it run for at least 2-3 min before get it back to white.
My suggestion is if you have option why not just use the backwash water for other use (except initial few min), clean the floor, car wash...the end result you still get a clean water into your house lol...if too lazy than pay more for auto backwash equipement and clean up every day lol

This is the part I find most funny. If you have a household of 2 people, you change it once a year. But if you have a household of 20 people, you also change once a year? Where is the logic for that? Surely 20 people consume more water than 2 people. No?

+1
same concept with car service, 3months or 5000km which even come 1st...

I using amway indoor water filter, the machine have the timer counter to "force" me change the filter cartridge every 12 months even though it serving 2 adults in my house... doh.gif but it also have the water usage calculation by litre as the lifespan will shorter if filter more water within 12 months...

Change is per average household usage, hence is it say 12 months once. There is an instruction and recommend change interval. You don't have to change every 12 months if your water pressure is still good. Once is slow down is time to chance.

I know cause I am using indoor and outdoor 3m, and the 3m promoter have advice me on this.
