dear si fu..
i already do all the reading n research.. found out front loader is the best also the more expensive one.. lost confidence in LG as all my LG electronic already broke down.. even my NATIONAL electronic last longer than LG.. Doubt about Samsung.. i was planning to go for electrolux as my uncle electrolux washer still working after serving him for more than 20 yrs.. and only break down once.. i went to harvey to check on the price and talk with the sales guy.. they told me the main motor that come with warranty of more than 10 yrs won't have any problem at all.. the only thing that always break down is the parts other than the main motor.. so the general insurance of 1 yr is the thing you should concern with.. LG, SAMSUNG and PANASONIC are assemble locally.. Electrolux assemble in Thailand.. these are the brand that always complain by the customer.. And he recommend me the brand like BEKO.. FARGO.. BOCSH... he said is fully imported.. less customer complain.. and i saw the sticker at BOCSH washer.. Inverter warranty for lifetime!! But the price tag is way way way expensive than others.. But it gave me some thought to it..
Dear si fu.. please advise..

Was the machine mishandled during shipping to your place? Bad suspension on a front loading can mean many things, from QC defect and also due to excessive force caused by drop from height. I think if you google, you can find someone complaining about Samsung machine as well which was dropped at the port of loading during export and subsequently they admitted that one whole batch of machine is having problem and they replaced the machine for that guy. This happened in the US or Europe.

2 weeks waiting period to repair a brand new machine which is already malfunctioning on first use is very bad, probably you can refer to consumer tribunal to get a refund.

Well, I've change to another brand, Hitachi SF-120, "top of the line" top load washing machine for hitachi. Guess what, same problem occurs. I think is the SHOP's problem since both different brand washing machine got the same problem. I'm still dealing with the dealer now, if this time still suspension problem, I will refund.

Poor handling from this company... TB* mad.gif

Panasonic washing machine is made in China, I've got their 10kg machine with all the bells and whistle, it does the job brilliantly but in terms of quality, there is a lot for them to improve on, especially on the absorbers or damping system which does not seem robust enough to cater for 10kg loads.

Newer Electrolux machine do not have the same quality of washing machine of yesteryears (but most brands these days don't), so its your call. I've seen bad reviews on Beko washing machine and it is nowhere near being a high end machine like it is being marketed here. Bosch they have fully imported machine from Germany and they do cost a bomb, the cheaper onces assembled in Thailand (OEM from Hitachi). Samsung and LG front loaders are made in Korea.

Or perhaps you were unlucky? How fast did Hitachi respond? faster than Panasonic?

It is not uncommon if electrical you are buying from that shop keep spoiling. It is the worker that throwing the thing and never handling properlly.

I have a friend work in such shop. He told me those bangla with throw the fridge, WM etc down from upstair store. They just let the part slide down from the stair and bang on the floor. If damage too much, they just claim back from the manufacturing.

Or past to the customer if don't realize. sweat.gif

I bet in this period quite a number of their machines should have problem since I kena 2 times directly. I noticed that a mounting area of one corner of the machine is not in correct position, the machine could have been "tortured" before sending to me... rclxub.gif

Hitachi response is slower than panasonic. 3 days have past and no one called me. I think I have to refer to consumer tribunal after all. I'm tired of waiting, I've bought the panasonic on 25 of July, until now, about a month already, I still haven't get a machine in good condition. I better go for refund and buy somewhere else. sweat.gif

I agree.

And I am one of those unlucky customer who got into this mess. I think it's unfair to panasonic and hitachi if it's really the shop's fault.

I will lodge a report to consumer tribunal on Monday if they don't settle the problem before that.

The right against a manufacturer in connection with any express guarantee on supply of goods as to

i) the quality, performance or characteristics of the goods;

ii) the provision of services that are or may at any time be required in respect of the

goods;

iii) the future availability of identical goods; or

iv) the return of money or other consideration should the goods not meet any undertaking by the guarantor.

Strong point to win the case since this statement stats clearly what i'm experiencing now. mad.gif

Hitachi technician came today, he say suspension problem also. So is the SHOP's problem. I called up for refund of the item. Cheque will be issued next week. I have ordered a Toshiba DC1000 from other shop. Although it's not the brand's fault, but i'm a bit phobia already since the machine from both company cannot tahan lasak.

my wife just called and said the wm brokedown with error code of h43.. model panasonic na140vg3 10kg... has been using it for a year without any problem... called up the shop where we bought as it is still under warranty and they mention that technician will be available only after a week or two!!

anyone here had experienced the same problem? from google i found that error is something to do with internal leakage detected and need to call up serviceman.. $$$ & time wasting!

Hi all,
Is anyone using Hitachi Washing Machine, BD-s1100 washer+dryer? The sales person told me that this unit is made in Japan and it's really reliable. So far I did not see any review (other than Hitachi site, of course) so just curious.
