I bought this LG 12kg washer last month. Wanted to buy 14kg but was OOS. Luckily, 12kg one is more than enough for me and it can easily wash one full height balcony curtain.

Nowadays, there are so many brand to choose for washing machine...  rclxub.gif
e.g. LG, Electrolux, Haier, Bosch, Toshiba

Which brand do you recommend?
Preferably a durable and long lasting fridge... oh yeah, and also affordable...

Lets discuss...

Separate or combo device?

I last used a front loader 10 years ago (LG combo). Back then it would always have load balancing issue whenever I washed big items. This 12kg one doesn't have balancing issue. And the door unlocks seconds after it completes a cycle, instead of having to wait a long time like the previous one.

2 weeks ago just replaced the absorbers for my LG front load washer dryer (FV1410H3P) that I've been using since 2 years ago. Luckily I bought the extended warranty coverage from Harvey Norman so no need pay for the service and parts....

but I do wonder what's the typical lifespan of front load absorber, 2 years seems a bit fast

most machines are tested to 5 years. Premature dynamic related failure are usually due to levelling or asymmetric load.

Try looking at the LG basic front load washing machine? Their basic model is quite decent. I think priced around 1.4-1.6k.

yup, obviously midea has been quickly merging the functions and design from toshiba. But the touch and feel always seems to be cheaper. However I think the interior is the same.

Can consider Xiaomi 10.5kg front load wash & dry washing machine which cost RM 1,499. I prefer wash n dry machine than using separate machine and save space. Currently using Samsung 13kg WiFi smart front load washing machine. Depending where you place it, if dusty environment, about 6 months you either DIY or get someone to dismantle the unit and clean the dryer fan blade. Dust will cause the suction to get blocked hence lower efficiency in keeping cloths dry.

Your best bet should be looking at Lazada or Shopee for brands like Midea or Hisense.
